The Sweet Alchemy 100 slot is played on a 5×5 grid and uses the Cluster Pays mechanic. Wins are formed by matching 3 or more symbols in a row, horizontally or vertically. The same symbol can also be used in different win combinations. Winning symbols are removed from the grid with the remaining symbols dropping down. A win multiplier is increased for each drop starting at 1x and going up to a maximum of 100x.

The focus switches from Candy to her 3 sisters in the Sweet Alchemy 100 slot game. The setup is the same with the witches to the right of the reels and the meter and multiplier to the left. The background is a different colour depending on the witch current in play. Clouds pass by as you spin away and there are heart candies in the background too just to add to the sweetness. It’s completely different to the previous release but very similar to the original Sweet Alchemy slot.

The soundtrack is melodic and fits well with the overall theme. But it’s the animations and everything else going on that really makes this slot compelling and great on the eye. The audio is nice enough, although with so much going on as you spin away, you don’t really notice it too much. Again, at least it’s different from the previous 2 releases. I always appreciate sequels using new audio because it feels a little lazy from the provider otherwise.

On the reels, the different coloured candies make up the lower-paying symbols. These are joined by the 3 Witches Cherry, Berry and Apple. All 3 pay 0.3, 1 or 10 x the bet for 3, 4 or 5 in combination. Landing any 3 of the Witches in combination together will also give you a payout of 0.2, 0.5 or 5 x the bet.

There’s no Scatter in the game but there is a Wild, which is a circular candy. It substitutes for all symbols and pays up to 50x.

The theme is the main difference, so whether you prefer sweets and witches or Japanese Manga will essentially guide you to one of the slots over the other. The 15,000 x max wins are solid and although the soundtrack isn’t the best, the sound effects and the animations make up for that as you spin away. The graphics are bold and colourful and, overall, it’s a good game to play. I must admit that when testing, it took me a very long time to trigger the Free Spins feature, so don’t expect that to land too often.
