Pearls of India Slot Review
Pearls of India is a 5 reel 20 payline video slot powered by Play ‘N Go. This is a sequel to Aztecs Idols where Rich Wilde tries to uncover the sacred pearls of India in this adventurous game. Playable from 20p to £100 a spin, it has a generous free spins feature as increasing multiplier in the base game.
The wild symbol is Rich Wilde himself, with the scatter being the Pearl symbol and the bonus symbol being the temple. Note that the wild symbol only appears on the 3 middle reels (reels 2, 3 and 4).
You will notice there’s a multiplier chart to the right-hand side of the reels. When you have a winning spin, it will be a subject to a 1x multiplier. Then the contributing symbols disappear to be replaced by new symbols. If you have another winning spin, it will be subject to a 2x multiplier. This continues to 4x, 6x and finally 10x! This means you can win multiple times on every single spin (up to 10x if you’re lucky).
Look out for the Temple symbol as these are collected when you see them. Collecting 25 will trigger the bonus feature. You get to then select from 3 different temples. In the Statue of Vishnu challenge, you try to pick pearls out of the hands of the statue. In the Wheel of Brahma challenge, you spin 3 rings on a wheel to get a matching symbol. In the Wall of Shiva challenge, you open tiles on a wall. In total, you can win up to 250 times your stake.
The main attraction is the Free Spins feature which you can trigger when you get 3 Pearl symbols on the 3 middle reels – you begin with 10 free spins. Now, what makes this feature great is that the multiplier comes into play. You will start with multiplier values being 1x, 2x, 4x, 6x and 10x respectively.
You will then collect pearls which will reward you with extra free spins and increases the multiplier values. For every 5 pearls, the multiplier values go up – you will also get 5 extra free spins. Details are as follows:
- 5 Pearls – multiplier values are 2x, 4x, 8x, 12x & 20x along with 5 extra free spins
- 10 Pearls – multiplier values are 3x, 6x, 12x, 18x and 30x along with 5 extra free spins
- 15 Pearls – multiplier values are 4x, 8x, 16x, 24x and 40x along with 5 extra free spins
- 20 Pearls – multiplier values are 5x, 10x, 20x, 30x and 50x along with 5 extra free spins
In total, you can get up to 30 free spins with a massive 50x multiplier on free spins. I managed to get 15 pearls last time out with 1 win being subjected to the huge 40x multiplier. Playing at £1 a spin, I won over 220 times my stake. I found Pearls of India to be a medium variance slot which big wins coming in the free spins feature. I think this game has become my new favourite Play ‘N Go taking over from their flagship Riches of Ra game.
