Theme – worship the mighty beast for health, wealth and good luck

With an pre-historic theme, the Mount M slot is based on Mammoth Mountain where prehistoric men worship the mighty beast (the Woolly Mammoth) for health, wealth and good luck. Only a few though will get a visit from the Mammoth Spirit which leads to great fortune.

Visually, it’s set up a mammoth-shaped snowy mountain. Set in the Ice Age, the setting is brutal as are the conditions. It also comes with a harrowing soundtrack which adds to the chilly atmosphere.

The symbols include A, K, Q and J royals made out of animal bones. All the higher value symbols are represented by dodos, cave hyenas, woolly rhinos, sabretooth tigers and of course woolly mammoths. The woolly mammoth is the best paying symbol with 3, 4 or 5 in combination awarding 1, 1.5 or 2.5 x your total bet.

Then you have a W wild symbol made out of lava. Appearing on reels 2, 3 and 4 only (the 3 middle reels), it substitutes for all symbols except the Fire Pit Bonus scatter.

Shatter Re-Spin feature

In the base game, the 3 middle reels can randomly have a glow around them. When the 3 middle reels glow and a wild symbol lands, the Shatter Re-Spin feature will be triggered. Then 2 things will happen:

• 1, 2, 3 or 4 rows will be randomly expanded on the 3 middle reels. This can lead to 8,192 ways to win
• Every new row added will see a high value animal symbol upgrades to the woolly mammoth symbol

Evolution Free Spins feature

The Evolution Free Spins feature is triggered when 3 or more Fire Pit Bonus scatters land anywhere on the reels. 3, 4 or 5 scatters will award 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively.

Mount M Review Summary – unlock all reel extensions + upgrade all symbols for mammoth wins

The Mount M slot is a very impressive game aesthetically. The harrowing soundtrack is brilliant and the animal symbols are big and high definition. The gameplay is exciting with plenty on offer in the base game and the free spins. It does remind me a little of 24K Dragon which also sees the 3 middle reels grow for up to 8,192 ways to win.

What I do like is that the Shatter Re-Spin feature gives you the chance to play with up to 8,192 ways to win as well as more high value woolly mammoth symbols. In the Evolution Free Spins feature, it’s all about collecting enough orbs to permanently play with more ways to win and higher value symbols. This will also lead to additional free spins with 68 in total being a decent offering.

With 13,000 x bet max wins per spin/free spin, it’s less then 24k Dragon’s 24,000 x bet max payout but it’s still high enough to grab your attention. The symbol upgrade element in the free spins reminds me of Thunderkick’s Pink Elephants 2.

In summary, Mount M is a well designed slot game with 2 good bonus features. Both are capable of landing the max win with the Evolution Free Spins feature to more lucrative. The game combines popular elements from other slots but the theme/design is fresh and impressive.
