Miner Donkey Trouble Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Miner Donkey Trouble slot is played on a 7×7 game grid. Winning combinations are formed by landing clusters of 5 or more matching symbols. That leads to a cascade with the winning symbols removed and new ones replacing them. The bigger the cluster, the better the reward.
You can go mining for treasure here at stake levels that range from between 10p and £100 per spin. Autoplay is available if required too.
The Miner Donkey Trouble RTP is 96.27% which is slightly better than average. As you might expect from an explosive, mining-themed slot, the variance here is high. One a scale of 1 to 10, we’d put the Miner Donkey Trouble volatility at 8. The maximum potential win is 10,000 x your total stake per spin.
Theme – Audio & Design Features – join a miner and his trusted donkey
Like most games in the Play ‘n GO catalogue, there’s a glossy, high-definition look to the design in the Miner Donkey Trouble slot. With a gold mining theme, the game is based on a miner and his trusted donkey, named Trouble. It has a madcap feel to it.
The miner and his donkey found themselves trapped in an abandoned mine. The reels are flanked by the miner and his trusty donkey, the unfortunately named Trouble. There are also assorted meters alongside the reels which keep track of the feature triggers which we’ll look at in detail below.
On the reels, you’ll find an assortment of brightly coloured rock and gem symbols. The most rewarding symbol is the red gemstone which awards a payout equal to 250 x you total stake if you manage to build a winning cluster of 18 or more symbols. There are also gold nuggets and pickaxes which can bring multipliers and wilds into play.
The design in the Miner Donkey Trouble mobile slot is virtually identical to the desktop versions. It’s bright and sharp, even on a small screen. Some cascading reel slots don’t work quite so well on a smartphone but this is very playable no matter what type of device you’re using.
Miner Donkey Trouble Bonus Features
There are plenty of opportunities to try and detonate an explosive win in Miner Donkey Trouble. Gameplay highlights include cascading reels, multipliers, added wilds and a bonus round that awards free games complete with expanding multipliers.
Cascading Reels feature
Miner Donkey Trouble uses a Cascading Reels feature. After a winning combination is created, the successful symbols are blasted off the reels and new ones drop down to replace then. If a new winning cluster is formed, the process is repeated. The cascades continue until now new winner hits.
Donkey Destruction feature
Each time a winning cluster is formed, those successful symbols are collected in the Donkey Destruction meter. Pass specific milestones and you’ll trigger a Donkey Destruction feature. There are 3 stages to this:
Stage | Symbols Collected | Description |
1 | 18 | All rock symbols are removed from the grid |
2 | 40 | All gem and rock symbols are destroyed from the grid |
3 | 50 | All symbols bar golden nuggets are removed + up to 5 golden nuggets added |
Golden Nugget Multiplier feature
Golden nugget symbols don’t count in winning combinations. If they make it down to the bottom row of the game grid, golden nuggets are removed and a multiplier increases by 1. The more golden nuggets, the bigger the multiplier. In the base game, all multipliers reset to 1x at the start of each new spin. This is known as the Golden Nugget Multiplier feature.
Miner’s Pickaxe feature
Each time a miner’s pickaxe symbol lands, it’s removed and the Miner’s Pickaxe feature is queued. This plays out once you’ve finished the cascade plus any Donkey Destruction and Golden Nugget extras. Between 4 and 10 wilds are added and a new payout calculation is made, hopefully unleashing a new set of cascades.
Mega Symbol feature
Random mega symbols can appear at random on any cascade. A pair of 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 mega symbols are added to the grid. Known as the Mega Symbol feature, these can be any gem or stone symbol or even a wild.
Dynamite Explosion feature
When a dynamite scatter symbol lands on the reels, the Dynamite Explosion feature will be activated. An explosion then follows. The scatter, as well as surrounding stone and gem symbols are removed. A pair of diamond wilds are added in their place.
Free Spins feature
The Free Spins feature is triggered by landing 3 Dynamite Scatters on the same spin (and set of cascades). You’ll the receive 5 free spins. If you activate any multipliers here, they don’t reset following a winless cascade, they remain the same or increase in value.
All the other features mentioned above can also come into play leading to diamond wilds, mega symbols, up to 10 wilds and multipliers. Retriggers are possible here too. You can play a maximum of 20 free spins if the scatters fall nicely.
Miner Donkey Trouble Review Summary – a cracking cluster pays slot
The Miner Donkey Trouble slot is a typical cluster pays slot that has lots going on. The multiplier, mega symbols and added wild extras add another layer to the gameplay though.
The bigger wins will come from the Golden Nugget Multiplier feature. It’s more lucrative potentially in the Free Spins feature as the multipliers don’t reset between cascades. The game is simpler than the popular Reactoonz 2 though as offers much bigger payouts (10,000 x stake vs 5,083 x stake).
The design is as impressive as we’ve come to expect from a Play ‘n GO release. While not quite as volatile as some of the developer’s other releases, it’s still explosive enough. If you want to dig for riches, there’s no better game than Bonanza Megaways by Time Gaming.
