Love is the name and dating is the game in this romantic slot. It’s going to be a very hit-and-miss theme in some respects. Not everyone will appreciate what Play’n GO have tried to do here. The reels are set at the fair along a boardwalk, which looks like somewhere in America such as Atlantic City perhaps due to the Cadillacs to the right of the reels.

The visuals are fairly basic but nice enough. The same goes for the soundtrack. It’s ok but I’d say the audio clips while spinning away add more to the slot overall than the soundtrack.

On the reels, the A-10 Royals are made up of different coloured candies. The higher-paying symbols include rings, teddy bears and male and female characters. The characters look very much like a modern version of Sandy and Danny from Grease. The female character is the most rewarding symbol, paying 2.5, 5 or 25 x the bet for 3, 4 or 5 in combination.

The game’s Wild is a camera. It’s called the Love Cam and 3, 4 or 5 in combination will pay 2.5, 5 or 50 x the bet respectively. It substitutes for all symbols apart from Scatters. The visuals are nice and the soundtrack isn’t bad, but the gameplay is basic and there’s been no improvement from previous slots of similar ilk  A very marmite theme too in my opinion.

Pros

• Basic gameplay overall

As soon as I loaded the game, I was greeted with a theme that I wasn’t too keen on. But I kept an open mind, and you will need to as well if you play it. Unless you love this theme of course. It’s one of those themes that will affect your enjoyment of the game in my opinion. It’s essentially a clone of 15 Crystal Roses: A Tale of Love, which was enjoyable. But that was only enjoyable as it was something new. There’s nothing new here, which is a shame.

It’s a very cheesy game, but the 10,000 x max wins, the above-average RTP rate and the fun Free Spins feature with multipliers up to 100x keep things interesting for a while at least. You’re either going to love it or hate it, but feel free to try our demo and decide one way or the other before using any of your own funds.
