Cascading Wins Feature

Telephone Charge Feature

Free spins also feature a wild collector. All winning wilds are collected in the first phase of the free spin. The wilds are then added back to the grid in the second phase, after all the character modifiers have played out.

Only 5 to 10 wilds are used at once, and more are added after extra wins. This continues until all of the wilds have been used up. Any wilds landing in the second phase are not collected.

Gamble Feature

Outside of the UK, when the free spin is triggered, players have the option to gamble to reach higher levels. If the gamble is lost, only a single character feature is awarded. The feature also doesn’t impact the overall RTP of the game.

First of all, we have to hand it to Play’n GO. The Hugo Legacy slot looks great, and it retains the slightly chaotic vibes of the previous releases too. You don’t have to know, or love, Hugo either. As someone who was just 2 years old when Hugo launched in the UK, I was unfamiliar with the characters, yet I still found it charming.

In terms of gameplay, the free spins feature is the key to winning big. While just 1 free spin per trigger might seem a little mean, the character modifiers and extra wilds really help you out. What’s more, with all these features cascades are almost a given, so you can land multiple wins from just the 1 free spins.

Compared to other Hugo slots, Hugo Legacy has lower max payouts of 3,000 x your bet and a medium volatility. This does mean, however, that features trigger quite frequently. All in all, the Hugo Legacy slot is well worth a spin, whether you’re a fan of it’s predecessors or not.
