Hugo 2 is based on the Scandinavian heroic troll from TV, video games and magazines – with a railway track in the backdrop, it has cartoon style graphics. Symbols on the reels include whistles, levers, hats, mining carts, skull keys, gold bars, bags of gold coins and diamonds – the latter rewards you with 52.5 times your stake for 5 across a payline.
Hugo is the wild symbol and replaces all symbol bar the scatter and bonus – it’s also the most valuable with 5 giving you 75 times your stake. The scatter and bonus symbols both trigger bonus features which are described below.
Look out for the Beaver scatter symbol appearing simultaneously on reels 1, 3 and 5 as this will activate the Troll Race Free Spin feature – you will begin with 10 free spins. Hugo 2 is all about the Troll Race Free Spin feature really – getting 20 free spins is decent but the potential for 4 wilds and multipliers totalling 8x is good. It’s a highly volatile offering where you can win up to 5,000 times your stake on every free spin. Overall, another decent slot from Play ‘N Go. I still prefer to play other games of theirs such as Fu Er Dai and Grim Muerto.
