Dungeon Tower Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
Reels/Paylines: 5 reels + cluster pays
Stakes Range: 20p to £50 per spin
Max Win: 20,000 x bet per spin
The Dungeon Tower slot game is played on a 5×5 grid and uses the cluster pays mechanic. 3 or more matching symbols horizontally or vertically will result in a winning combination.
Stakes range from just 20p up to £50 per spin, thus catering to all pockets. Hit the bet value below the reels to adjust your total bet. You can choose from 14 predefined values. Autospins are also possible if you live outside the UK.
The Dungeon Tower RTP is 96.1%, which is just above average for an online slot. In terms of volatility, it’s in the high range. Furthermore, the hit frequency is set to 23.64%. This means that just under a quarter of all spins on average will result in a winner for you.
The maximum win is 20,000 x your stake, which is generous. The unlimited multipliers in the Free Spins feature will help you get to this figure. But please bear in mind that it’s rare. The probability of the top prize here is 1 in 100,000,000.
Theme – beautiful visuals from start to finish
High Value Symbol: Skeleton/Troll
Compatibility: Mobile, Tablet, Desktop
The reels are set in a dark and spooky dungeon as you spin away in this fantasy-themed slot. If you’ve ever played Snake Arena or Snake Arena Dream Drop by Relax Gaming, you’ll notice straight away that the reel setup is very similar. You have a birdseye view of the 5×5 grid.
In terms of visuals, the Dungeon Tower slot is fantastic. The graphics are sharp, bold and colourful. I like the way the 3D symbols interact with the 5 pots of potions at the top of each reel too. It adds to the overall appeal of the gameplay. Trigger the Free Spins feature and the reels drop to the bottom of the dungeon just above the lava for more intense gameplay.
The audio sounds like the background beat to a golden age hip hop track. It’s got dark undertones with the odd growl sounding in the background as well as a bell and what sounds like a witch’s scream. It alters slightly during the bonus round, but the hip-hop-sounding beat is constant throughout.
On the reels, the A-J Royals make up the lower-paying symbols. These are joined by higher-paying creatures from rats and spiders to skeletons and trolls. The Skeleton and Troll symbols pay the most, awarding 0.5, 1.1 or 2.3 x your stake for 3, 4 or 5 in combination.
The game’s Wild is a book of spells. It pays the same as the highest standard symbols and 1 to 3 of them are added on every cascade. Here’s a list of the symbols you’ll come across in the game:
|J||3, 4 or 5 = 0.2, 0.4 or 0.7 x bet|
|Q||3, 4 or 5 = 0.2, 0.4 or 0.7 x bet|
|K||3, 4 or 5 = 0.2, 0.4 or 0.7 x bet|
|A||3, 4 or 5 = 0.2, 0.4 or 0.7 x bet|
|Spider||3, 4 or 5 = 0.2, 0.5 or 1.1 x bet|
|Rat||3, 4 or 5 = 0.2, 0.5 or 1.1 x bet|
|Skeleton||3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 1.1 or 2.3 x bet|
|Troll||3, 4 or 5 = 0.5, 1.1 or 2.3 x bet|
|Wild||1-3 are added on every cascade + pays up to 2.3 x|
|Scatter||3+ triggers Monster Free Spins|

Dungeon Tower Bonus Features
There are 5 bonus features in the Dungeon Tower slot game, ranging from free spins with a progressive reel multiplier to wilds, MultiMAX and golden bets. Some of these options won’t be available to UK players due to restrictions put in place by the UK Gambling Commission. Read on to understand how all of the bonus features work.
When winning symbols land on the reels, they are removed from the 5×5 grid. Normally with cascades, new symbols will just replace them. However, this is where 1 to 3 Wilds are randomly placed in the empty positions. The rest of the empty spaces are then filled with symbols dropping in from above. If a win appears, a new cascade begins. This continues until no new wins are formed.
If you look above the reels, you see that every reel has a multiplier attached to it. This is a feature that’s appeared in previous Yggdrasil titles in the past such as the Multifly! slot. Peter & Sons have used the joint venture with Yggdrasil to good effect here.
If you are lucky enough to see a Wild land during a cascade, the multiplier on that reel will increase by +1 before new symbols fall from above. Here’s how that multiplier is applied:
- Vertical winning lines will be affected by the multiplier at the top of that reel.
- Horizontal wins will be affected by the multiplier resulting from multiplying each of the multipliers on top of the reels involved in the winning line.
- Multiplier values are updated before their current values have been added to any wins.
- When the current game round ends, all values above the reels reset to 1.
Monster Free Spins feature
Land 3 or more Scatters in the base game to trigger this bonus round. Here’s how many free spins you will get depending on the number of Scatters that land:
|Scatter Symbols||Free Spins|
There’s nothing extra fancy about this feature – it plays in exactly the same way as the base game spins. The only difference here is that the top reel multipliers do not reset after each spin.
Golden Bet and Buy Free Spins feature
In most territories apart from the UK, you can buy the Free Spins feature and utilise Golden Bet. When you activate the Golden Bet, this will increase the stake by 20%. But this also doubles the chance of triggering the Free Spins feature.
If you want to buy your way straight to the main feature, you can pay 80 x your stake for the Free Spins feature. Between 7 and 11 free spins are then randomly awarded to you.
You will see these options to the right of the reels if they’re available to you
Dungeon Tower Review Summary – a solid release from two software stalwarts
The Dungeon Tower slot is a result of a blossoming partnership between Yggdrasil and Peter & Sons. I have to say that they’ve pulled it out of the bag with this one. The graphics are great, the gameplay is really enjoyable, and the possible returns are solid too with max wins of 20,000 x your stake.
The only slight negative I have is that there’s not too much going on beyond the base game. The Free Spins work in the same way, which is a little disappointing to see. Maybe you like that? That’s ok if you do. But I would have preferred the Free Spins feature to play out differently. Or at least see a feature added that is completely separate from the base game.
Overall, it might not be a game that’s typical of a lot of the best Peter & Sons slots, but it still packs a punch and delivers some fantastic gameplay. They’ve previously used the Gigablox feature in the Monster Blox slot and now they’ve gone down the MultiMAX route. My verdict? Well done Peter & Sons, I like it.
