Pharaoh’s Tomb Slot Review

Pharaoh’s Tomb is a Novomatic-powered video slot with 5 reels and 20 paylines. Playable from 40p to £100 a spin, it has an Ancient Egyptian theme where you search for the grave of the mighty pharaoh – it has mystical symbols like the green scarab and the golden Ankh.

In the base game, look out for the Pharaoh wild symbol as this expands when it appears on all reels and substitutes for all symbols except for the scatter. This can really boost your winnings. However, the main attraction is the Pharaoh’s Tomb feature which is a free spins game.

This can be triggered when you get 3 Pharaoh’s Tomb scatter symbols anywhere on the reels – this rewards you with 12 free spins. Look out for the Pharaoh wild symbol on the reels as it turns into a sarcophagus and gives you the most valuable screen symbols in the game (wings, water, snake, scarab, bird and Ankh).

The symbols worth the least are removed from the reels and replace by the next highest – this happens every time you get a wild symbol on the reels. On top of this, you can win additional free spins (4 extra). This happens either by getting 3 scatters or the wild feature.

I quite like Pharaoh’s Tomb and found it to be a medium variance game. The graphics are slightly better than most Novomatic slots which helps but the bigger wins will come in the free spins feature with my best return being 215 times my stake. I prefer other games like Lord of the Ocean but it’s definitely worth playing. It can’t compare to the Book of Ra Deluxe game which has a similar theme.

As with Indian Spirit (and others), the only place you can play Pharaoh’s Tomb is at Grosvenor Casino – they have more than 250 slot games from Novomatic, Aristocrat, WMS Gaming and IGT amongst others. New players can get £20 free when they deposit just £20 and wager it 5 times (yes 5!).
