Despite all the moving parts, I found the design in the Tanked slot game quite successful. The visuals are pixelated just enough to create some nostalgia for some good old-fashioned video games of the 90s. Thanks to the design of the 4 warlords, the game has a whimsical quality to it despite the not-so-playful theme.

If the warlord who collected the Power Drill can’t move, an instant detonation takes place, clearing the symbols in an explosion pattern.
• Airstrike: The warlord who activates it hits up to 3 rival warlords, creating an explosion pattern in each case that fills up with new symbols.

If a warlord is removed by any Tank Booster, it loses a life before reappearing on the next symbol drop. If this enemy warlord collected a Tank Booster before the explosion, it stays with it in the next drop. Explosions don’t impact wilds, Bonus, xSplit, and xNudge symbols.

xBombs and Barrel Bombs

These special modifiers in the Tanked slot only detonate if there is no warlord movement and no Tank Boosters are on offer.

The xBomb removes all paying symbols in the explosion pattern and increases the main multiplier by 1x.

The Barrel Bomb also removes all the paying symbols in the explosion pattern but also expands the game grid by 1 position horizontally or vertically.

Booms

The Small Boom feature triggers when 3 warlords are next to each other, and none can move. All the warlords and gems blow up in the explosion pattern.

Kill Count

When a warlord symbol is in the path of an explosion of any Tank Booster, xBomb, Barrel Bomb, or Boom, they lose 1 life.

When a warlord has lost all of its 3 lives, it is killed and removed from the game grid along with all of the corresponding gem symbols. The character revives on the following symbol drop.

xNudge Wild and xSplit

xNudge Wilds nudge down to the bottom of the reel or until they hit a non-paying symbol. If there is no multiplier when the xNudge lands, it will bump up its overall value to 2. The multiplier then increases by 1 with each nudge that follows. Land another xNudge Wild, and a +1 multiplier will be added.

The xSplit symbol splits all paying symbols horizontally or vertically, doubling their amount. The xSplit then transforms into a Wild, doubling the value of any multiplier that it hits.

Carnage Spins and Carnage Royale Spins

Land 3 bonus symbols on the same spin in the Tanked slot, and you’ll receive 5 free Carnage Spins. Any multipliers and the kill count carry over from the triggering spin. Carnage spins take place on the grid you played the triggering spin on.

In my experience, Nolimit City usually delivers some of the best online slots—no matter if we’re talking theme, design, or gameplay. Everything is usually turned up to 11, and the Tanked slot game is no exception. For starters, the way winners are formed by warlords collecting trails of symbols is quite unusual and refreshing. The game grid, which can shift from 6×6 to 9×9, delivers extra excitement.

I liked the huge amount of variety on offer in terms of special features available in Tanked. The Carnage and Mayhem Spins can really live up to their names! This is a game where you really shouldn’t get bored easily. However, it may be a tad too complicated for beginners.

On the other hand, this is an extremely volatile slot, which perfectly matches the explosive theme and gameplay. The max win of 25,000x is high enough, though, to justify such volatility. High risks are often paired with big rewards.
