The Spin Lab Slot Review

The Spin Lab is a NextGen Gaming-powered video slot with 5 reels and 25 paylines. It is played from only 40p a spin to as much as £80 a spin. You get to embark upon your greatest creation where you pick and choose and mix and match the feature rules to create your own bonus feature. The Spin Lab has a futuristic theme to it with a spacious feel to it and can be played on mobile and tablet devices.

There’s the Spin Lab Bonus feature which can be played when you get 3 or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. You are awarded 5 free spins but you choose 3 features with 1 from each row. In row 1 a cube, molecule, atom or DNA symbol is chosen at random with the chosen symbol becoming the selected symbol. You can also choose from stacked symbols or cash prizes every time the chosen symbol appears (cash prize up to 500 coins).

Row 2 allows you to pick from stacked wilds, extra wilds or a wild multiplier – the latter will give you a multiplier of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x when you have a win involving a wild symbol. In Row 3, you can choose from a 2x multiplier on all wins, pays both wins (left to right and right to left) or an additional 5 free spins.

The Spin Lab may sound a little complicated but it reminds me a little of NetEnt’s Starburst in appearance. I like the fact you get to choose from a combination of features to create your own bonus feature. This is a medium to high variance game with the maximum win in the base game just under 20 times your stake. However, The Spin Lab is all about the free spins feature as there’s a maximum 625 times your stake to be won.

I have won just over 120 times my stake in the feature but it’s a unique good from NextGen Gaming that will keep me coming back for me. If you like NextGen Gaming’s work, you should try the superb Psycho which is also medium to high variance.
