Platinum Pyramid is a NextGen Gaming slot with 5 reels and 20 paylines. Playable from 20p to £200 per spin across desktop, mobile and tablet devices, this ancient Egyptian themed game offers you up to 30 free spins with all wins trebled.
Visually, Platinum Pyramid is rather simple with cartoon style graphics – set at night time with metallic pyramids in the background, symbols on the reels include metal playing cards (A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9) as well as a collection of Egyptian hieroglyphs such as ankh crosses, Anubis dog gods, Eyes of Ra and yellow flowers – the latter gives you 150 times your stake for 5 on a payline.
The Priestess is the wild symbol which substitutes for all other symbols bar the pyramid scatter – the symbol is also the most lucrative with 5 on a payline giving you a whopping 350 times your total stake!
The Platinum Pyramid is that scatter with 3 or more triggering the Free Games feature, you will get 5, 20 or 150 times your total stake (for 3, 4 or 5) as well as 5, 10 or 15 free spins respectively. With a 3x multiplier applied to all wins, you can also retrigger the feature giving you up to 30 free spins in total.
That’s about it for Platinum Pyramid – it’s a simple game where the big wins will undoubtedly come from the Free Games feature. I found it to be a medium to high variance offering which offers a nice visual change from the usual ancient Egyptian themed offerings. Saying that, it doesn’t offer enough in the gameplay to be innovative and different – for that, I prefer to play WMS’ Lady of Egypt.
