Scarface Slot Review

Scarface, in partnership with Universal, is a 5 reel 20 payline video slot created by Net Entertainment. It’s based on Brian De Palma’s 1983 classic movie and features infamous mobster Tony Montana. You can play from as little as 20p to as much as £100 a spin.

Scarface features 3 Stacked Wilds that appear on 3 different reels, Nudge Spins, a Free Spins Bonus feature and the Say Hello to my Little Friend Bonus feature. You will also see scenes from the actual film, animations as well as all the characters to deliver a top quality slot game.

The 3 Stacked Wild symbols are Elvira, Manny and Tony Montana. You will the stacked wilds appear on the middle 3 reels (reels 2, 3 and 4). This can create bigger wins for you and also trigger a unique feature each. Here are the details:

Landing a stacked wild on reel 2 will activate the Nudge Spins – the stacked wild will change into a Nudge Wild symbol and drop down in position on the reel whilst the other reels spin again. This carries on until the Nudge Wild disappears from the reel with all wins totalled.

Landing a stacked wild on reel 3 activates the Say Hello to my Little Friend Bonus feature – you will then see the infamous scene where the gangsters storm Tony Montana’s house. Once they reach the balcony, the door blasts open. You need to use the gun or grenade to protect Tony from the hit squad. Each kill Tony makes awards a prize. The bonus round finishes when a gangster reaches Tony and kills him. You will then see Tony fall into the fountain below the balcony as per the famous scene in the film. Then the total number of enemies is display and your wins collected.

Landing a stacked wild on reel 4 triggers the Free Spins Bonus feature – you will be rewarded with 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier. The bonus round takes place in the Babylon Night Club and has the movie soundtrack playing. You can also re-trigger more free spins if the full stacked wilds appear on the 4th reel.

Scarface is a very popular game but the value of the bonus features is on the smaller side – I much prefer Starburst or Piggy Riches by Net Entertainment. Saying that, the movie clips, sounds and graphics are superb. Most branded slots tend to be lower variance and that’s exactly the case here.
