Guns N’ Roses is a branded slot game brought to you by Net Entertainment. The game is based on the American hard rock band that has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. With famous band members Axl Rose and Slash, the slot game is available on desktop, mobile and tablet devices – it has 5 reels and 20 paylines and can be played from 20p to £100 a spin.
When it comes to gameplay, you will benefit from wild substitutions, expanding wilds, the Appetite for Destruction wild, bonus symbols, Encore free spins, Legend Spins, a Solo multiplier and a Crowd-Pleaser feature. There is also a set list available with a choice of 5 of their legendary tracks which you can play as you spin the reels.
Wild & Expanding Wild
Look out for the Guns N’ Roses symbol as this is the wild and can appear at random anywhere on the reels (except for the middle reel in the Appetite for Destruction Wild feature) – the wilds turn into an Expanding Wilds to cover the whole reel. These will substitute for all symbols except for the Appetite for Destruction Wild feature, the overlay Wild in Legend Spins feature and the overlay Stacked Wild in Encore Free Spins feature.
Random Base Game Features
There are also 3 randomly-triggered features in the base game – firstly you have Legend Spins feature where you get 3 re-spins with 1 or 2 stacked wild reels. On the 1st re-spin, reel 3 will become a stacked wild reel, on the 2nd re-spin both reels 1 and 5 are stacked wild reels and on the 3rd and final re-spin, reels 2 and 4 are stacked wild reels.
The Appetite for Destruction Wild feature will show you an overlay wild shaped like a cross that can land on the reels at random (either in full or partially) in 3 locations. If you get other wilds on reels 1, 2, 4 and/or 5 too, this can lead to huge wins.
Then you have the Solo Multiplier feature where a winning payline will be randomly subject to a multiplier ranging from 4x to 10x. This feature is only triggered if there are a minimum of 3 matching symbols on a payline win. Unfortunately, it doesn’t apply to wilds but decent wins can be had here.
Want an encore? There are more bonus features which can be played when you get 3 Bonus symbols (the record with Bonus on it) simultaneously on reels 1, 3 and 5 in the base game. One of 3 bonus features will be chosen by the spinning Bonus Wheel – these features are described below:
Coin Win feature – one of the features is to win a cash prize. The prize ranges from 10 times to 30 times your stake. Then you have the Encore Free Spins feature where you will get 10 free spins. A band member symbol appears as an overlay stacked wilds on 1 of the 3 middle reels for each free spin. This chosen band member acts like a wild too on all other reels for that free spin. Unfortunately, you cannot retrigger more free spins in the feature.
Finally, there’s the Crowd-Pleaser Bonus feature which has 3 levels – this is a classic pick me style feature where picks give you cash prizes. In addition to this, look out for Free Spin symbols and +1 pick symbols. If you get 3 Free Spin symbols in the feature, you will receive 10 free spin.
Anyway, you will receive 3 picks on Level 1 – Level 2 is where most of the Free Spin symbols appear though as you get another 3 picks. Level 3 is accessed if you win 300 coins (15 times your stake) from the previous 2 levels. You can double your winning amount in this level if you get 800 coins (20 times your stake) giving you a cool 40 times your stake.
Guns N’ Roses is definitely an eye-catching slot with brilliant graphics and animations as well as a superb soundtrack. I class it as a medium variance slot with the big wins coming from the Encore Free Spins feature – getting wilds on the other reels as well as the cross overlay wild entirely on the middle reel can give you huge wins. I think NetEnt have produced an absolute belter here – if you like music-inspired slots, WMS offer you KISS Shout It Out Loud and Elvis The King Lives.
