Devil’s Delight Slot Review

In Devil’s Delight, the Devil welcomes you to hell in this infernally great 5 reel, 20 payline video slot created by Net Entertainment. The theme is based on some of the deadly sins and death is ever present in this sarcastic game where you need to help the grim reaper collect souls in the various bonus features.

The bonuses and features in Devil’s Delight are going to make you greedy and probably delighted as well. The features are numerous, scatter symbols, expanding wilds, a free spin bonus, a soul collecting bonus and a Sin Spin feature. You can play from just 20p a spin to as much as £100 a spin. The game is medium to high volatile meaning you can come away sometimes with no wins or very small wins – the payoff is that big wins can be huge!

Three or more soul reaper scatter symbols will activate the Soul Reaper Bonus feature – they can only appear anywhere on reels 3, 4, and 5. In the soul collecting bonus, you have faces representing 5 sins (gluttony, lust, sloth, pride and wrath) on the left of the screen. You must match sins with the characters on the screen.

If you get a match that person dies a funny/horrible death but you gain a cash bonus and collect his/her soul in the soul-o-meter at the bottom of the screen. A wrong match makes you lose a sin with the possibility of getting 5 souls. You can win a cool 500 times your stake if you’re lucky here.

The Sin Spins feature is triggered when you have collected 15 souls in the soul-o-meter – don’t worry, the soul collecting isn’t too hard as souls are ‘kept’ for 48 hours from your last spin. In this feature, you have 10 free spins with the seven deadly sins symbols as well the expanding wild which appears on the 3 middle reels when forming part of a winning combination.

This is a big money maker because spins are free, there are fewer symbols than in regular play which makes getting combinations easier – the expanding wild helps a lot and the rewards are better. The coins accumulated in the Sin Spins feature are based on the average bet you placed while acquiring those 15 souls so the more money you bet before the more money you’ll make in sin spin. I found this feature to be quite lucrative – I won a nice 340 times my stake playing this last time out (hence I wrote the review!).

Lastly you have the Free Spins feature which is activated when get 3 or more pentagrams anywhere on the reels. To find the number of free spins and multiplier, you need to click on one of the pentagrams on the screen. The number of free spins and multiplier are awarded randomly – free spins ranges from 7 to 17 and the multiplier can reach as high as 5 times your winnings. During the feature, you can get additional spins when 2 pentagrams appear on the reels. The other bonuses can also be activated during this feature which is great. However, the multiplier will only apply to the original amount of free spins you’re awarded (not the additional ones). Also, the expanding wild on the 3 middle reels can really help boost your winnings.

All in all Devil’s Delight is fun to play, whatever your budget you’re likely to win some money if you’re patient. I’ve had some huge wins in this game but many, many more small ones. It’s regarded as a classic NetEnt slot and in the same league as Dead or Alive.
