Forgotten Island Megaways Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits
The Forgotten Island Megaways slot uses the most popular Megaways configuration as it comes with 6 reels and up to 117,649 ways to win. Each reel will contain up to 7 symbols on each reel randomly.
The more symbols per reel, the more Megaways. You will then need 3 or more matching symbols on adjacent reels beginning from reel 1. With the highest value symbol, you only need 2 on successive reels.
Playable from 20p to £20 a spin, there’s a Coins icon where you can choose easily from the various stake options. If you want to use the Autoplay function, you can choose from 10 to 100 autospins. In the Settings section, you can use Quick Spin and enable or disable sounds.
The Forgotten Island Megaways RTP is 96.25% which is just above the average. It’s slightly lower than most Megaways games though (normally around 96.5%). High variance, you’ll get a win in over a third of spins as the hit frequency rate is 33.66%. The max payout is 7,000 x your total stake per spin.
Theme – Audio and Design Features – join King Kong on a lost island
The Forgotten Island Megaways slot is based on a King Kong style gorilla which is set on a forgotten/lost island. Loosely based on the Kong: Skull Island film, you head deep into the jungle where there are waterfalls and gorillas carved into the stone walls. To the side of the reels you will see the gorilla staring at you directly.
With high definition graphics and animations, symbols appear on stone slabs. There are A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 royals as the low value symbols. The higher value ones include grapple hooks, lanterns, treasure books and gorilla skulls. The gorilla skull symbol is the most lucrative giving you 1, 2, 10, 25 or 50 x stake for 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 in combination.
There’s a compass wild symbol which substitutes for all symbols, except the scatters. As with other Megaways slots, wilds can only appear on the extra reel (along the top).
Forgotten Island Megaways has been produced, by All41Studios and Microgaming, using HTML5 technology. This means it can be played on mobile, tablet and desktop devices as standard. The quality of the graphics is not lost on smaller screens either.
Bonus Features in Forgotten Island Megaways
The Forgotten Island Megaways comes with 3 bonus features in total. You have Rolling Reels for continuous wins, free re-spins with a certain number of guaranteed Megaways and free spins with an unlimited, increasing win multiplier.
Rolling Reels feature
Every winning combination formed in the game will trigger the Rolling Reels feature. Winning symbols are removed and replaced with new symbols. This can lead to consecutive wins. The rolls only stop when no more new wins are created. This feature is available in the base game and free spins.
Kong Spin feature
Every winning spin has the chance to wake up Kong and trigger the Kong Spin feature. This feature triggers randomly in the base game only. Basically, Kong will give you a win multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x.
Each consecutive rolling reels win increases the multiplier by 1. There is also no limit to how high the multiplier can go. The more consecutive wins, the bigger the multiplier essentially.
Free Spins feature
Kong is the scatter symbol. Landing 4 Kong scatter symbols will activate the Free Spins feature with 10 free spins. Each extra scatter adds 2 more free spins to your starting tally. If you were to trigger with 6 scatters, you’d begin with 14 free spins for example.
You then start with a 2x multiplier. Every win will then see the multiplier rise by 1. With the multiplier being unlimited, 3 or 4 scatters landing on a free spin will give you 3 or 4 additional free spins respectively. Again, with no limits.
You have to the option to buy your way into the Free Spins feature. It’s available in most countries. You then choose from 3 options:
|Free Spins||Starting Multiplier||Cost|
|10||2x multiplier||80 x stake|
|10||3x or 5x multiplier||120 x stake|
|10||5x or 10x multiplier||150 x stake|
If you were to opt for the most expensive option (150 x stake), you begin with a multiplier of 5x or 10x. Each win during the free spins would increase the multiplier by 1 each time. Unfortunately, the Buy feature isn’t available in the UK due to regulations from the Gambling Commission.
Forgotten Island Megaways Review Summary – well designed game
The Forgotten Island Megaways slot is the second Megaways effort from All41Studios and Microgaming. Whilst the randomly triggered Kong Spin feature can give you a 10x multiplier, the max win of 7,000 x stake per spin is 4 times lower than the max win available in the Shamrock Holmes Megaways slot.
The game is beautifully designed. There’s nothing new on the features front but the multipliers in the base game and free spins are the key to winning big. Just hope Kong wakes up randomly in the base game or you get plenty of consecutive wins in the free spins.
Forgotten Island Megaways is a good-looking slot but, unfortunately, it doesn’t offer the potential payouts or enough bonus features compared to other Megaways slots.
