There’s a classical feel to the design in Geisha’s Garden. The reels are made up of bonsai trees, vases, pagoda and temple buildings, animals and a Samurai warrior. The best standard symbol is the Geisha of the title which awards 16.66 times your stake if you land 5 on a payline. There’s also a wild that replaces all other symbols bar the scatter. It pays up to 33.33 times your stake per payline too.
The coin is the scatter. Land 3, 4 or 5 of these anywhere on the same spin and you’ll pocket an award equal to 2, 20 or 50 times your total stake as well as triggering the Free Spins feature. You’ll then be taken to a new screen to spin the Bonus Wheel. The goodies on offer depend on how many scatters triggered the feature:
- 3 scatters = 6 to 10 free spins, 1-4 wild reels, a 1 to 5 times stake payout
- 4 scatters = 16 to 20 free spins, 1-4 wild reels, a 1 to 5 times stake payout
- 5 scatters = 51 to 55 free spins, 1-4 wild reels, a 1 to 5 times stake payout
The wild reel (or reels) will be locked in position throughout the feature.
With its tranquil visuals and classical soundtrack, you might mistake Geisha’s Garden as a gentle slot. We found it to be pretty fiery on the variance front though. The Free Spins feature can be a real hit and miss affair. A small allocation of free spins and a single wild reel on reel 5 delivered disappointing rewards. You could cash in with a big haul of free spins in combination with multiple wild reels though.
We enjoyed our visit to the Geisha’s Garden. There’s a classy look to the design and the simple gameplay can deliver some exciting action. If you’re a fan of the Asian-themed slot then this is one to add to the rotation, especially if you like high variance play. I would also look at Afterlife Inferno which is Leander Games’ best slot in my opinion.
