Minting It! Hold & Win is a retro slot from iSoftBet, but it’s missing a few key points to make it stand out. It’s not a bad game, but there’s not enough on offer here to put it near the top of the market.

What we liked

• The respins round is fun
• You can grab instant wins during the base game
• When the animated background kicks in, it’s a fun visual

• No free spins round
• Limited maximum payout

Many new slots currently use a retro theme, so it’s a crowded market. It makes it challenging to stand out, but I don’t think Minting It! Hold & Win does it. The bonus features are okay, but there aren’t enough of them. For me, it’s not the biggest issue, though. With just 2,500x the stake available and that requiring a perfect bonus round to achieve, it just doesn’t pay out enough.

If you enjoy classic slots with hold-and-win features, Minting It! Hold & Win is worth trying out. However, other games use similar mechanics that offer far superior overall experiences. It’s not a bad game, but iSoftBet hasn’t done enough to make it a must-play. It’s impossible to score this higher than 2.3/5.
