Disco Double is quite a glitzy affair as far as design is concerned. The symbols are familiar enough but they come with a nice glossy sheen. You’ll see single, double and treble bars which offer up to 100 coins per payline. They’re followed by green and blue 7s which award up to 200 coins, a red 7 which pays up to 400 coins and a gold 7 which pays up to 600 coins.
Top of the pops as far as the standard symbols is concerned is the purple star which offers payouts of up to 800 coins per payline. By far the biggest potential payouts on offer her come via the wild – as usual, it replaces everything apart from the scatter. Land 3, 4 or 5 wilds in the same payline and the cashier will dance to the tune of 700, 5,000 or 10,000 coins.
Disco Double comes with a Free Spins feature – to trigger it, you’ll need to land 3, 4 or 5 scatters anywhere on the reels on the same spin. As well as a payout of 1, 10 or 125 times your total stake, you’ll also receive 10 free spins. Keep a special eye out for the mirrorball during the feature – when it lands on the middle reel, it acts as a multiplier and doubles all payouts on that spin. That’s pretty much it as far as features go.
Disco Double is a simple game, both in the way it looks and plays. This is an old school favourite that has been given a fresh lick of paint. There’s nothing particularly new or innovative on offer here but what’s on offer is solid enough. If you’re heading to a night out and fancy a few spins before you go, then Disco Double provides an entertaining, if not especially exciting, appetiser. If hip-hop is more your thing, Playtech’s Wild Beats is recommended.
