The first thing you’ll notice about Richie in Vegas is the jazz orientated soundtrack – quite good in my opinion. With playing cards, poker chips and neon palm trees in the background, symbols include a pair of die, poker chips, bars, double bars, triple bars, golden bells, pink 7s and blue diamonds. You’ll also see Richie on the reels – he’s the most valuable symbol giving you 2.5, 6 or 20 times your stake for 3, 4 or 5 in combination.
There’s also quite flamboyant wild symbol which can appear on all 5 reels – this performs the usual substituting duties. Richie in Vegas comes with an expanding wild symbol – this appears on any top position of the reels and expand to fully cover the reel(s). You can get expanding wilds on all 5 reels for payouts of 400 times your stake.
There’s a Wheel of Chance symbol that shows up on the middle reel – when it does, you will trigger the Wheel of Chance feature. You then get a spin on the Wheel of Chance – here, you can get:
- Cash bonuses of 8 times your stake
- 3 extra wild symbols on the any of the 3 middle reels
- 2 expanding wilds on reels 1, 2, 3 and/or 5
- Access to the Free Spins feature with 6 free spins
If you get 6 free spins, you enter the Free Spins feature – furthermore, the Wheel of Chance feature is triggered on every free spin. You will then spin the Winners Wheel where you can win the following:
- Cash prizes up to 4 times your stake
- 2 to 3 extra wilds on the 3 middle reels
- 1 or 2 expanding wilds on the first 3 reels
- 3 extra free spins
- Upgrade to VIP wheel with 1 more free spin
If you enter the VIP Wheel, you can the following prizes:
- Cash prizes of 8 times your stake
- 4 to 6 extra wilds (on 3 middle reels)
- 2 to 4 expanding wilds on any reel
- 3 additional free spins
- Upgrade to High Roller Wheel with 1 more free spin
Lastly, there’s the High Roller Wheel where the prizes are at their highest:
- Cash prizes of 8, 16 or 50 times your stake
- 6 to 8 extra wilds on any reel
- 3 to 5 expanding wilds
- 3 extra free spins
Lastly, Jackpot Richie symbols can land during the Free Spins feature – if you get 5 on any position you will win 2,000 times your total stake.
Richie in Vegas is quite simple really – with expanding wilds throughout, it’s all about the Wheel of Chance feature which leads to wilds, expanding wilds, cash prizes and entry to the Free Spins feature. In the latter, this is where things get interesting as the higher value wheels give you a lot more.
With maximum wins of 400 times your stake on each spin or free spin, it’s all about getting Jackpot Richie symbols during the Free Spins feature as a cool 2,000 times stake prize will be won if you find 5. I quite like it from an entertainment point of view – if you want something more volatile, Iron Dog Studio’s Vikings Wilds offers wins of 6,000 times your stake on every free spin.
