Norse Mythology is the theme in the Gods of Asgard Megaways slot game, which is pretty obvious from the title. With a mixture of clouds and mystery in the background, you can just make out the tree of life in the centre that branches out above the reels. It’s a pretty standard background and the symbols are basic too in all honesty. It’s all nicely set out, but the visuals aren’t anything to get excited about.

In terms of audio, it’s ok. There’s a very dramatic soundtrack as you spin the reels in the base game. It’s almost like a very important part of a blockbuster film is about to appear. Land the Free Spins feature and the background brightens up with the audio getting faster to add to the overall intensity. Again, it looks quite nice but there’s nothing with the ‘wow’ factor.

On the reels, the A-10 royals are on show as the lower-paying symbols. You’ve then got a horn, a mead, a necklace, a hammer and a ring as the higher-paying ones. The ring is the most rewarding symbol, paying 1, 2, 3, 6 or 15 x your stake for 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 in combination.

Overall, the Gods of Asgard Megaways slot is a pretty good one with a very likeable theme. It comes with 25,000 x max wins and an above-average RTP for starters. Couple that with some great features and you’ve got a very nice slot. But this is all it is – very nice. It’s not amazing, it’s not unique and it feels like just another basic Megaways version of a Norse-themed slot.
