The Wild Life Extreme Slot Review Summary – lacking the ‘extreme’

As you can probably tell from the length of this review, there’s not a lot going on in The Wild Life Extreme slot. In a way, this simplicity is quite nice compared to the bonus-feature packed new slots we’re used to. On the other hand, it leaves the game a little dull.

The key to winning big is to enter the Free Spins feature with 20 spins, and then land some sticky wild reels. This gives you a chance at aiming for those 1,000 x max wins, which are also possible through the Random wilds feature too.

The thing we’re struggling to understand is what makes the game extreme? In comparison to its predecessor The Wild Life, it has a lower payout potential (1000 x vs 2,500 x max wins), a lower RTP rate (96% vs 96.16%) and smaller paytable prizes (the original slot’s lion symbol is worth 250 x stake for a 5 of a kind combination).

Overall, we can see what IGT are trying to do. A lot of players like retro themed slots, and they’ve added enough new details to pique interest. That said, we’re not sure anyone will be spinning The Wild Extreme slot for very long.
