Star Trek Slot Review
Star Trek is a 5 reel 30 payline video slot created by IGT. It’s based on the 2009 Star Trek film oddly enough. You can play for as little as 1p a payline to £10 a payline meaning that you can play from 30p a spin to £300 a spin with all paylines activated. There are 4 bonus features which are based on Kirk, Spock, Uhura and Scotty.
You can trigger access the bonus rounds by getting 3 bonus symbols across the reels. The bonus symbol is represented by the USS Enterprise Warp Drive symbol. The various character bonus features are dependent on which character you get to trigger the feature (the last bonus symbol). Here are the details:
- Kirk Win Spins Bonus feature: you be rewarded with between 3 and 6 free win spins with all wins trebled. For each spin win, you will spin until you win which means that your number of win spins only decreases if you have a winning free spin. Therefore, the total number of free spins you can get is 250.
- Spock Goes Wild Bonus feature: you are awarded between 10 and 15 free spins with a 2x multiplier. Note that there are extra wild Spock symbols on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th reels which will increase your chances of winning. Also, Kirk pays are doubled compared to the base game.
- Uhura Super Scatter Bonus feature: you will get between 6 and 12 free spins with extra Uhura scatter pays. This means you can get up to 8 Uhura and wild symbols on the reels at once for huge rewards.
- Scotty Multiplier Boost Bonus feature: you get 10 free spins with the multiplier ranging from 2x to 5x for the first 5 free spins. From the 6 spin onwards, the multiplier ranges from 4x to 10x making the potential for big wins huge. You can also retrigger more free spins too.
What is interesting is that every bonus feature described above can give you up to 250 free spins. Although unlikely to get the top reward, pray for extra free spins as they can be hugely rewarding. Star Trek is one of my favourite slots due to being good to me.
I’ve managed to do quite well from the game in the Scotty Multiplier Boost Bonus feature as I won £3,850 from a £30 stake. Saying that, I like the Spock Goes Wild Bonus feature as extra wilds can really boost your winnings to another dimension (excuse the pun). However, there have been times when it’s eaten up my bankroll in a matter of hours so be careful and play at stakes you’re comfortable with.
