Star Trek Against All Odds Slot Review

The Star Trek Against All Odds slot game has 5 reels and 720 ways to win as it uses MultiWay Xtra wagering. You will play with 60 coins and can play from as little as 60p to as much as £300 a spin. The game is the 2nd Star Trek slot by IGT and is based on the Enterprise stopping Narada from destroying planet Earth.

As mentioned above, the MultiWay Xtra feature allows you to win 720 ways on every single spin. You can win in both directions too (left to right and right to lift). You will notice the reels are set in a hexagonal format. The MultiWay Xtra feature pays out on the same symbols in any position being in columns next to each other. The more symbols you have that match, the bigger your reward.

My favourite thing about this slot game is the Energizing Wilds feature – this appears randomly when you don’t have a scatter on the reels. The Transport Cursor appears turning up to 5 symbols wild on the 3 middle reels. This can be very lucrative indeed!

The main feature is the Enterprise Defender Bonus feature which you can trigger by obtaining 5 Bonus symbols. This arcade-style feature is innovative as you defend the Enterprise against the Romulan missiles for 45 seconds. Use your skill with the cursor to aim the Enterprise weapon at the incoming missiles and bomblets. You will get 500 points per missile and 100 points per bomblet destroyed.

The shooting will shop once your shields are reduced to zero. If you get over 12,000 points you will be promoted to a Commander and if you achieve over 14,000 points, you will be promotion to a Captain. The rank players in the next bit as there are 9 wheels in total. The higher your rank, the bigger the rewards on the appropriate wheels.

Being a Lieutenant will give you up to 6,500 times your stake. Being a Commander will give you up to 15,000 times your stake and being a Captain will reward you with up to 22,500 times your stake – let’s hope the wheels are lucky!

I quite like the excitement of the Star Trek Against All Odds game and you will have frequent hits. The Energizing Wilds feature is particularly good as awards can be substantial. The graphics and animations help too as they are superb. The skill based bonus feature hasn’t been seen before and the big 22,500 times your stake prize is more than appealing. One thing I didn’t like is the fact it hasn’t got a free spins feature where the original Star Trek slot had.
