Pharaoh’s Fortune Slot Review
Pharaoh’s Fortune is powered by IGT and, as mentioned above, has been hugely successful in land-based casinos (especially in the US). It’s a simple video slot game with 5 reels and a 15 paylines. You’ll surely see that is has a classic touch of old school Las Vegas (which is a good thing).
A peculiar feature is that The Bangles’ Walk Like An Egyptian song plays in the background as the reels spin – you can play from 15p a spin to £30 a spin. The game has been revamped (as of November 2014) to include 5 more paylines in the base game as well as sharper graphics, better animations and sounds.
That gives away that Pharaoh’s Fortune has an Egyptian theme – you can win a total of 10,000 times your stake if you get 5 Pharaoh’s Fortune logo symbols. The main feature is the Pharaoh’s Fortune Bonus feature which is a free spins game. To gain access, you need to get the Pharaoh’s Fortune bonus symbol on reels 1, 2 and 3. You will notice that the number of paylines increases to 20 (from 15).
You will start the bonus feature with 3 free spins and a 1x multiplier but you will come across 30 unturned stone blocks. 22 of them will give you an extra free spin, 5 Multiplier +1 stones and 3 Begin Free Spins Bonus stones. You will carry on selecting stones until you get one of the latter stones. Once you begin the feature, you will are guaranteed a win on every single free spin. You will also notice a disco ball at the top which has been added in the revamped version (and I love it!).
In total, expect to get between 5 and 25 free spins with up to a 6x multiplier. You can however retrigger free spins and get a maximum of 999 free spins in total (although unlikely!). This slot game is a true classic and much revered as it’s still one of the most played slots in Las Vegas.
I found it to be medium variance as it has a nice balance of decent wins and with moderate frequency. The old school charm makes Pharoah’s Fortune a must though. Also, I thought I should mention that the game is available to play on your mobile/tablet devices such as iPhone, Android and iPad.
