Family Guy is powered by IGT and is a popular land based slot game that is now available online. The game is based on the very popular American adult animated sitcom that has been created by the talented Seth MacFarlane. You can now pay a visit to Quahog, Rhode Island and cosy up to the Griffins (Peter, Lois, Mega, Chris, Stewie and their dog Brian).

Available to play on desktop (laptop/PC), mobile and tablet devices, it has 5 reels and 30 paylines and can be played from 50p to £1,500 a spin. There are 7 bonus features in total to benefit from which are based on the loveable characters from the TV show. Firstly, I thought I’d mention that the graphics are superb and represent the show perfectly.

Look out for the World Bonus symbol in any position on the 3 middle reels as these trigger the Family Guy World bonus feature. You then click on the globe to spin with one of the following bonus (based on 3 hilarious characters) feature being awarded:

You have The Drunken Clam Bonus feature where you simply choose a character to win between 25 times and 1,000 times the coin value of the spin that triggered the feature. There’s more – you start with a 1x multiplier but the multiplier increases (to 2x, 3x and 5x) when an unselected character collapses.

Now, you then get to select beer taps to win between 5 and 750 times the coin value. Look out for the Win All symbol where the values of all the other taps are combined. The feature only ends when the selected character collapses or is the only 1 left conscious.

Then you have the Chicken Fight! Bonus feature where you select Peter Griffin or The Giant Chicken as your fighter for the feature. 3 rounds of fighting take place with up to 7 picks granted during each round. You will then select a number of prize sacks depending on how many picks you get. Each sack will give you between 5 and 1000 times the coin value.

The First Round has a multiplier of up to 2x, the Second Round has a multiplier between 2 and 3x with the Third Round having a multiplier of between 3 and 5x.

Finally you have Lois’ Hot Free Spins Bonus feature where you get 10 free spins – look out for the wild symbol as this substitutes for all symbols to give you bigger wins. You should also keep an eye out for the Giggity Retriggity symbol on the middle reel as this gives you an extra 5 free spins.

Now, what makes this free spins feature interesting is the Peter heart symbol – every 3 that are collected will change a different Lois symbol into a wild symbol on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 for that free spin and remain in place (in essence, sticky wilds) – there are 4 Lois symbols than can become wild so big wins can quickly accumulate. This feature uses the same engine as IGT’s Kitty Glitter by the way.

We’re not done yet! Look out for the Griffin Family Mystery feature which is randomly triggered, in the base game, when a Bonus symbol doesn’t appear on reel 2. From here, you will play 1 of 4 bonus features based on Peter, Stewie, Lois or Brian.

Peter’s feature will simply give you a random cash prize (up to 50 times your stake) and Stewie’s feature gives you up to 3 wild symbols on any reel. Lois’ feature gives you additional pays for up to 3 characters and Brian’s feature allows you to trigger the Family Guy World bonus feature with only 1 or 2 bonus symbols.

Family Guy is definitely an entertaining slot game and one that will surely prove as popular online than it has in land based casinos. It’s a medium variance game and one I will be playing quite regularly.
