Cleopatra II Slot Review
Cleopatra II is powered by IGT and is a 5 reel 20 payline video slot. You can play from just 20p a spin to as much as £100 a spin. This game is a Las Vegas classic and is a sequel to the already popular Cleopatra slot. Arguably, it’s one of the most played slot games of all time – this is normally contested with WMS Gaming’s Zeus.
Look out for the Cleopatra II symbol as it’s the wild symbol with rewards being doubled when you form a winning combination with 2 wilds. However, Cleopatra II is better than the original Cleopatra slot in my opinion for a couple of reasons. It’s slightly higher variance which means wins can be bigger but won’t come as often.
The main difference is the way the feature works – the Free Spins Bonus feature is triggered by getting 3 ore more Sphinx symbols anywhere on the reels. Whilst the original Cleopatra game gives you 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier, you will receive between 5 and 20 free spins initially. 3 Sphinx symbols will give you between 5 and 15 free spins, 4 Sphinx symbols will give you between 8 and 18 free spins and 5 Sphinx symbols will give you between 10 and 20 free spins.
Furthermore, the multiplier increases by 1x for every single free spin. You can also retrigger more free spins, with up to 50 free spins available. This means that the multiplier can increase to a whopping 50x on your 50th free spin. There’s up to 50,000 times your stake available in the feature which is great.
I really like Cleopatra II even though the graphics and animations are inferior compared to newer video slots. It does have an old school feel to it and it is a classic amongst classics – hence why it’s stood the test of time. Don’t expect to win big very often though but when you win big, you can win very big – definitely in my top 10 slots I’ve played.
