The Amulet and the Charm is a 5 reel, 40 payline slot which is powered by High 5 Games. Playable from 40p to £240 per spin across desktop, mobile and tablet devices, you are taken into a world of fantasy where mysterious characters search for the precious amulet and the riches it brings.

With a good fortune theme throughout, symbols on the reels include A and K playing cards, dragons, doves as well as blue and red amulets. There are also male and female warriors as well as the king and queen. The graphics are reminiscent of a land based game with the soundtrack being the standard High 5 Games one.

The wild symbol (says ‘Wild’ on it) is the most valuable symbol which gives you 1,000 times your stake if you manage to get 5 on a payline. Furthermore, it appears stacked on all reels to boost your winning potential.

Now, The Amulet and the Charm benefits from the Scatter Bucks feature – wild symbols become more important as they can give you a coin prize of between 25 to 10,000 coins depending on what reel they land on (reel 5 has the biggest wins!).

If you get multiple wilds, prepare yourself for huge wins – to activate the feature, click on the ‘+Feature’ button below the reels. If will double your stake amount so at minimum stake, you will be playing at £80 per spin.

There is also a Free Games feature which is played when you get 3 Free Games symbols on the 3 central reels – you will receive 7 free spins. You can also retrigger the feature numerous times with a possible 98 free spins up for grabs.

I found The Amulet and the Charm to be a medium variance game which is identical, in terms of gameplay, to Golden Knight. It’s not the most exciting slot you’ll come across but has decent win potential in both the base game and free spins feature. I do prefer other fantasy themed offerings such as Yggdrasil Gaming’s Double Dragons which is just superb.
