The Temple of Torment slot has 3 main bonus features. Golden Scarabs expand to create a win and act as wilds. If they expand over wilds, you’ll benefit from a Wild Multiplier up to 200x. This happens more frequently during the Anguish of Anubis free spins with the wilds being sticky. In the Reign of Ra free spins, activated Wilds are added to the total multiplier which apply to all wins.

Wild Golden Scarab Symbols feature

Keep an eye out for Golden Scarab symbols as they expand if at least 1 expanded Golden Scarab would form part of at least 1 winning combination. They will expand up or down to create a win. This is determined depending on which god prevails in the battle.

Expanded Golden Scarab symbols act as wild symbols on every position that they expand over. If they don’t expand, they will count as a single Wild symbol. Finally, only 1 Golden Scarab can appear on each reel.

Now, if a Golden Scarab symbol expands through a regular Wild, the Wild activates and turns into a multiplier that applies to the whole expanded symbol. The Wild Multiplier values range from 2x to 200x. If a winning combination includes more than 1 expanded Wild Multipliers, the multiplier values are added together and then applied.

A lot darker than other games aesthetically, it’s not as scary as Hacksaw’s Undead Fortune or Hand of Anubis slots. It does however have an intense feel which plays into the hands of the battle between Ra and Anubis.

In terms of the gameplay, Temple of Torment is all about Golden Scarab symbols which expand and act as wilds. If they expand through a regular Wild, you’ll benefit from a Wild Multiplier up to 200x. In the Anguish of Anubis free spins, there is a higher chance of Golden Scarab/Wild symbol landing with the latter being sticky.

I found the bigger wins coming from the Reign of Ra free spins. Activated Wilds add to the total multiplier meter which is then applied to win.
