Stack ‘Em Slot RTP, Details & Wager Limits

Reels/Paylines: 5 reels + Cluster Pays

Stakes Range: 20p to £100 per spin

RTP: 96.2%

Max Win: 10,000 x bet per spin

The Stack ‘Em slot is played on a 5×6 grid using the Cluster Pays mechanic. All you need to do to land a winner is match 5 or more connecting symbols of the same type anywhere on the grid.

Stakes range from just 20p up to £100 per spin. Simply use the arrows to the left of the spin button to adjust your total bet. Autospins and turbo spins are also possible for players outside the UK.

The Stack ‘Em RTP is 96.2%, which isn’t too bad and a slight improvement on the Stick ‘Em slot. But it’s important to note here that the hit frequency is abysmal at 10.56%, which might put a lot of players off. Nolimit City’s popular Tombstone RIP slot is lower at 9.08% but let’s not forget that the max win potential there is a massive 300,000 x your stake.

The max win here is 10,000 x your stake, which isn’t the best considering the low hit frequency. Volatility is rated at 5 out of 5 too, so don’t expect big wins very often.

Theme – join Canny the Can in the countryside

Theme: Cartoon

High Value Symbol: Thumbs Up

Compatibility: Mobile, Tablet, Desktop

The Stack ‘Em theme has a 1930’s feel and is rather pleasant, with the reels set in the countryside alongside birds chirping in the background. The visuals are solid with Canny the Can to the right of the reels and Mona the mouse to the left, who looks a little bit like Mickey Mouse when he was first created.

The soundtrack is pretty standard with no real music in the base game as you spin the reels. It’s just the sound of hi-hat symbols and brushes playing a jazz number as if it’s about to kick into to something a bit more intense. But it doesn’t. Music does appear a little in the Free Spins feature and the sound effects are pretty cool, which adds to the overall appeal.

On the reels, you’ve got some letters as the lower-paying symbols. These are joined by a leaf, a dead bird, a skull, a snake and a thumbs up symbol. The thumbs up symbol is the most lucrative, paying up to 30 x your stake for 15-19 on the grid.

The game’s wild has a child’s face on it with orange letters spelling out wild. It substitutes for all symbols except for the free spin symbol, which awards the Free Spin feature if 3 or more land in view.

Stack ‘Em Mobile

Despite the basic 1930s feel, the Stack ‘Em slot game has been created using HTML5 technology. This allows for play on a mobile, tablet, laptop and/or PC devices. The 5×6 grid setup works well on smaller screens.

Stack ‘Em Bonus Features

There are 5 bonus features in the Stack ‘Em slot, ranging from the Cluster Pays mechanic to a Free Spins feature with multipliers and 2 symbols that come into play. Here’s a breakdown of how the features all work.

Cluster Pays + Multipliers

The Cluster Pays mechanic is in full swing here, with 5 or more matching symbols giving you a winning combination. Once a winner lands, all non-winning symbols are removed, and the clusters fall to the bottom of the reels. New symbols will then appear from above and fall into empty positions. This repeats until no new winners are formed.

While this is going on, you will notice a value shown below the reels that indicate the number of winning stacked symbols on that reel. All winning clusters are then multiplied by the total of the multiplier values they are sitting above.

For example, if a winning cluster is above 2x, 1x, and 3x, they’re all added together to make 6, which is then multiplied by the winning cluster amount

Free Spins feature

3 or more free spin symbols will trigger the Free Spins feature in the Stack ‘Em slot game. You are initially awarded 5 free spins and they’re displayed as hearts above the reels, just like the screenshot above shows. You simply continue spinning until the hearts disappear.

Each time you land a winner, the total multiplier will be increased by the number of winning symbols. So, if a winning cluster consists of 8 symbols, 8 will be added to the total.

What’s great about this bonus round is that you will see a special X symbol and a mystery symbol. If any winning clusters connect with the X, they’ll be multiplied with the factor shown above the reels.

The mystery symbol is even more rewarding, giving you additional free spins or adding to your multiplier. Here are the possible outcomes from the mystery symbol:

  • 2-5 extra lives
  • 1, 2, 5, 10, 25 or 50 x multiplier is added
  • Multiply the total multiplier by 2, 3, 4 or 5

The odds of triggering this feature are 1 in 278

Bonus Buy feature

You can buy the Free Spins feature for 129 x your stake if you’re outside the UK. The RTP doesn’t change and is still 96.2% using this method.

Max Win (10,000 x)

This game is an improvement on the original game, and you can see how far the provider has come when you consider that Stick ‘Em was the first slot they launched. The 2 special symbols in the Free Spins feature are where all the action is at, and additional spins could help lead you to max wins of 10,000 x your stake.

One thing that does let the game down is the ridiculously low hit frequency of 10.56%. It’s not great at all and could put a lot of players off. However, it could work the other way and attract those who chase just big wins. But overall, we like the way the slot plays in general and we enjoyed the simplistic soundtrack as well as the visuals.

Why not give our free demo a try to see if you like it? It’s a great way of testing out the slot before using any real money.

Fancy some better Cluster Pays action? Check out Quickspin’s Azticons Chaos Clusters slot that has some high paying symbols and a max win of 25,000 x your stake. Alternatively, Star Cluster Megapays by Big Time Gaming offers 4 progressive jackpots with the top prize often in the hundreds of thousands of pounds.

  • 10,000 x bet max wins
  • Appealing bonus features
  • Great on mobile
  • Hit frequency only 10.56%

Stack 'Em FAQs

What is the Stack 'Em RTP?

The Stack ‘Em return to player rate is 96.2%, which is just slightly above the 96% average for an online slot. But please note that the hit frequency here is only 10.56%, which is really low and pretty disappointing to see.

What is the Stack 'Em max win?

The maximum win is 10,000 x your stake. It sits alongside many other Hacksaw games and is a generous figure compared to a lot of other slots on the market. But please note that volatility here is at its highest and rated as 5 out of 5.

Are there any Stack 'Em free spins?

Yes. Land 3 or more free spin symbols to trigger the Free Spins feature. You are initially awarded 5 free spins, and you continue spinning until no more hearts remain. We explain how it all works in our review.

Is there a Stack 'Em demo?

Yes, the Stack ‘Em demo slot is available here at Spin the reels with Canny the Can and Mona the Mouse on mobiles, tablets, laptops and/or PC devices.
