With a graffiti theme, the Chaos Crew 2 slot is the sequel to Chaos Crew, one of Hacksaw Gaming’s most popular titles. Set in a gritty world, Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skull make their triumphant return, in style. Visually, it looks like the original game with the same graffiti style.

The gritty, back-alley has more graffiti on the walls with Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skull on either side of the reels. Waiting for you to spin the reels, they hold a club and scythe respectively. With the symbols having a graffiti/tattoo feel, they are different on the whole from the original Chaos Crew game. You’ll come across hearts, smiley faces, blue wings, anarchy signs, 8-balls, dice, mouths, lightning faces, diamonds and pyramids. Chaos Crew 2 Bonus Features

The Chaos Crew 2 slot has 7 bonus features. An Epic Drop gives you 1 free spin with 5+ multiplier scatters on the grid. Epic Drop feature

Cranky Cat Multiplier feature

Look out for the Cranky Cat symbol as it’s a wild multiplier. Multiplier values are 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x or 20x. Affecting winning combinations that are part of the base game, multiple Cranky Cat symbols can land at the same time.

When this occurs, their multiplier values multiply each other and are then applied to the win. Only 1 Cranky Cat symbol can land on each reel. They substitute for all paying symbols.

Bonus feature

Chaos Crew 2 comes with a Bonus feature that is played when 3 Bonus Scatter symbols land simultaneously during a base game spin. Only non-paying symbols and multiplier scatters appear. You will then begin with 3 free spins.

Above each reel, you will see a reel multiplier that begins at 1x. Landing multiplier scatters will see the reel multipliers increase progressively. When the feature ends, all reel multipliers are added together and then multiplied with your bet to determine your final win/payout.

Best of Bonus feature

Landing 3 Bonus Scatter symbols plus 1 Best of Bonus Scatter will trigger the Best of Bonus feature. You’ll be awarded 3 Bonus features in a row which play out in full with the score from each feature stored on a scorecard next to the grid. When Hacksaw Gaming released Chaos Crew in September 2020, it took of all us by surprise. The punk/graffiti/tattoo style coupled with a classical/calm soundtrack was quite the contradiction. With Cranky Cat multiplier wilds in the base game, it focused on the Free Spins feature where you build up multipliers above the reels. Offering a unique and intriguing approach/style, Chaos Crew was a breath of fresh air.

Fast forward to September 2023 and the Chaos Crew 2 slot offers a lot more than its predecessor. The style/theme may be similar but they have been improved. Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skull are more prominent on either side of the reels for starters.

In the Bonus feature (i.e. the free spins), you have the addition of Sticky multiplier scatters. This can see Sketchy Skull multipliers added to the reel multiplier or all reel multipliers on subsequent spins. Cranky Cat multipliers can multiplier the reel multiplier or all reel multipliers on subsequent spins. These remind me of the Persistent special symbols in Relax Gaming’s Money Train 4 slot.

You then have a Super version which gives you at least 7 multiplier scatters on the first spin. Furthermore, there are Best of Bonus/Super Bonus features which award the best result of 3 features. You also have the random Epic Drop feature which gives you 1 free spin basically with 5 or more multiplier scatters on the reels.

The most important difference is the 20,000 x bet max win which is double that in the original game. It’s extremely highly volatile so expect many dead spins and disappointing returns on many bonus features.
