The main extra in Diamond Force is the Team-Up feature. You’ll see that the 4 members of the Diamond Force can land in stacked formation up to 3 symbols high. You’ll then receive an initial 3 free spins on a new set of reels. Again, the size of these reels is determined by the symbols from the triggering spin.

Diamond Force Theme – Audio & Design Features – superhero inspired

Considering there’s a futuristic theme in play here we were slightly disappointed with the design of Diamond Force which feels a little dated.

With the skyscrapers of a big city in the background, you’ll see A to J royals as well as the 4 members of the Diamond Force. These spin in stacks that are 3 symbols high. There’s also a wild, the white diamond, which can appear on reels 1 and 5 only.

The stacked character symbols don’t have the sharpness that you’ll find in a slot from developers ELK Studios or Thunderkick for example. It’s all decent enough but doesn’t have much of a wow factor. It’s a similar story with the backing track which is packed full of bangs and bleeps without being particularly catchy.

The interface is okay but not great. The 3 lines settings tab will take you to the paytable. It’s not the easiest to navigate. You have to click, hold and scroll to read all of it, rather than just click.

Diamond Force Review Summary  – 13,175 x stake wins

Marvel slots have been off the scene for a few years now. There’s certainly a gap in the superhero-themed slot market. Diamond Force doesn’t quite fill it. The Team-Up feature is decent enough and the Team-Up Bonus Spins feature offer some potential – up to 13,175 x stake per spin/free spin. We weren’t bowled over by the design or the gameplay though.

On the plus side, it’s a volatile slot which makes it a good pick if you like high variance. Diamond Force is quite a good slot if you factor in the win potential – I would have like sharper graphics and animations to make it really stand out. Still, if you like the theme and volatile gameplay, it’s still worth giving it a look.
