The frozen planet Oratorio is the setting for this intergalactic adventure. With a moon and purple skies in the background, you’ll see triangular reels set made up of 22 positions. Winning combinations are created by landing clusters of 5 or more matching symbols. Watching over proceedings is an animated Lyra playing her guitar keyboard.

There are 6 standard symbols. Joining the A, K and Q are a trio of gemstones – peridot, amethyst and garnet. The latter is the top payer. A cluster of 5 symbols pays double your stake. Multiplier Wild feature – look out for 3 red edged positions in the middle of the triangle. Special wild multipliers can land here and boost payouts by anything from 2x up to 5x. If you land more than 1 wild multiplier, the amounts are added together. In theory you could end up with a 15x boost here.

Sonic Respin feature – these can trigger at random following a winning spin. The successful symbols are held and a new spin follows. If a matching symbol or wild join the winning cluster, the process is repeated. The respins continue until there’s a spin with no new matching additions or you’ve filled the whole screen.

Lyra Spirit Bonus feature – on any spin you could see a Stardust Bubble appear. Lyra bursts the bubble to reveal between 2 and 10 points which are added to the Stardust Collection meter above the reels. Once you’ve amassed 100 points, you’ll trigger the feature.

This is a platform game that you’ll see more often in video games than slots. A wolf chases down 1 of 3 paths collecting gemstones as it goes. Each stone collected awards a prize. Blocking the path is Erion. If the wolf crashes into Erion, you’ll lose 1 of your 3 lives. There are 7 levels to work through in this round with awards increasing as you go. If you make it to the end of level 7 with lives remaining, you’ll also get a bonus prize of 20 times your stake.

We enjoyed Astro Legends: Lyra & Erion. Foxium has obviously put plenty of effort into the visuals here and the synth funk soundtrack fits the futuristic theme rather well. The features are pretty good too, offering a nice change from the standard free spins diet. The platform bonus is especially impressive.

Foxium are relative newcomers to the online slots world. After seeing Astro Legends: Lyra & Erion, we’ll be keeping an eye out for their titles in the future though.
