Based on the daughter of the God of the Earth and the Goddess of the Sky, Temple of Isis is an ancient Egyptian-themed slot from Eyecon. Like many of the developer’s games, it’s a 5 reel, 25 payline game that comes with wilds that double wins and a free spins round where all payouts are trebled. Play on all devices from between 25p and £12.50 per spin.
Eyecon slots have much to commend them but design wouldn’t be near the top of that list – the visuals here aren’t particularly special. Set against a desert backdrop filled with pyramids, the reels include lower value A to 9 symbols as well as 6 Egyptian-themed objects. The ankh cross and the cat god Bastet award up to 10 times your stake per payline, followed by the snake god Apep which awards up to 18 times your stake. They’re followed by the Eye of Horus and Scarab Beetle which pay up to 38 times your stake.
The Egyptian priestess is the wild and the most rewarding symbol – land 5 of these on a payline and you’ll pocket 380 times your total stake. Whenever a wild forms part of a winning combination with a standard symbol, that payouts is doubled.
The other symbol to keep a special eye out for is the pyramid which is the scatter. Land 3, 4 or 5 of these and you’ll win 5, 20 or 450 times your total stake. You’ll also trigger the Free Games feature. Here you can look forward to 15 free spins.
Any winning combination landed during the feature will see its payout boosted by a 3x multiplier and trebled. 3 or more scatters will get you another round of 15 free spins – you can retrigger up to 15 times giving you 240 free spins.
Temple of Isis lacks the impressive pick’em rounds found in some of Eyecon’s slots which is a little disappointing. You can still expect plenty of action here though thanks to the double wild wins and the 3x multiplier in the bonus round.
Visually, Temple of Isis isn’t the greatest. The feature round is a good one though. See past the somewhat clunky design and there’s some decent action on offer in this virtual trip to the desert as you can win up to 1,350 times your stake on each free spin. If it’s ancient Egypt you’re after, WMS’ Lady of Egypt and Play ‘N Go’s Leprechaun Goes Egypt are worth exploring.
