There’s a comic book aesthetic to the design in the Nitropolis slot. The visuals here are bright and colourful and the cartoon style matches the theme nicely. It feels like you’re on the set of the Judge Dredd film in some ways.

Let’s be generous and say that the soundtrack is an acquired taste. It had us reaching for the mute button though. Thankfully, you can get rid of the music but keep the game sounds which is fine. Do this via the settings tab.

Set against a rather grimy, industrial backdrop, the reels are made up of graffiti-style A to J symbols which appear alongside the logos of the 4 gangs. This Nitropolis slot is like an animal mash-up of Mad Max and The Warriors. The design works well and the soundtrack is unique. You will either love or hate if truth be told.

However, it’s the gameplay and especially the Nitro Reels that makes Nitropolis stand out. You can play with over 85 million ways to win on each spin, which can lead to big wins. The respins that follow each winning spin can deliver some very decent action.

It’s the Bonus Game feature, where the Nitro Reels turn sticky, that things can really start to motor.
