Theme – a classic fall design

The gameplay takes place in what looks like a Viking Age longhouse with carved walls. Enjoyed in a 6×4 formation initially. the soundtrack to the Viking Fall slot game is quite dramatic but melodic at the same time.

When coins land to increase the multiplier, the game intensifies. The same goes for when the Free Falls feature is triggered. Flames appear on either side of the reels, and everything speeds up slightly to add to the overall excitement.

Symbols explode when a winning combination is formed, and the dramatic sound of new symbols landing from above adds to the intensity of the slot. The theme overall is great if you’re a fan of Vikings and cascading reels.

On the reels, you come across Rune tiles as the lower value symbols. These are accompanied by swords, a hammer, an axe, a helmet, and 4 Viking warriors. The red Viking is the most rewarding symbol, the one with the long tied beard, paying 1.5, 2 or 2.5 x your stake for 3, 4, 5 or 6 in combination respectively.

The game’s wild is a triangular symbol, which substitutes for all except the scatter symbols. If you land any in view, it will increase the multiplier by 1 for that fall.

Cascading Symbols

All winning combinations will cause a chain reaction. The winning symbols are blasted off the reels and replaced by new ones appearing from above the reels. This will continue until no new winners land.

Win Multiplier feature

Any wild that lands in view will increase the multiplier for that fall by 1. It’s that simple and is a fun way to build up the potential wins. The multiplier win total will appear to the left of the reels, so you’ll always know the current state of play with that.

Colossal Mystery Symbol feature

When a Colossal Mystery Symbol lands, it will transform into reel symbols for a guaranteed win on any spin. It appears in a 3×3 formation, but it’s worth noting here that it cannot reveal scatters or wilds.

Free Falls feature

3+ Scatters will trigger the Free Falls feature during the base game. Here’s how many free falls you can receive:

Each successful fall will increase the minimum ways by 1 level up to a huge 262,144. It’s also important to bear in mind that the win multiplier doesn’t reset between falls during the bonus round. It begins at 1 and increases by 1 with each Wild that lands in view.

Retriggers are possible too, which helps make up for the lower than average RTP slightly. Not all slots offer retriggers, so this is good to see.

Viking Fall Review Summary – It’s all about the Free Falls

The Viking Fall slot is an already predictable game if you’ve not yet tried our free demo. It’s the same as the other Fall series slots in terms of gameplay but with a different theme. If you’re a fan of Vikings then this game will appeal.

Although the gameplay during the base game is fun, the Free Falls feature is where all the best action is at. It’s also where you’ll get your best chance to land the maximum win of 50,000 x due to the multipliers and possible retriggers.
