The Dragonfall slot is a grid game and is played on an 8×8 grid. With a Cluster Pays mechanic, 5 or more matching symbols in a cluster formation will constitute a winning combination. The biggest cluster is 25+ symbols.

Playable from 20p to £10 per spin, use the up and down arrows either side of the Bet button to adjust your stake accordingly. Theme – beware the dragon’s stare

With a dragon theme, the Dragonfall slot looks fantastic. With cartoon graphics, it has a Game of Thrones feel to it visually. Set inside a dragon’s lair, you’ll see plenty of gold coins and gemstones in the background. Equally impressive in the intense soundtrack which wouldn’t be out of place in a feature film or TV series.

On the reels you will see 6 different coloured dragon eggs. The egg with the dragon wrapped around it is the highest value symbol. 5 in a cluster will pay 1 x stake whilst 25 or more of these together will reward you with 100 x your total stake.

Dragonfall Mobile

Released in December 2019, developer Blueprint Gaming created Dragonfall using HTML5 technology. This allows for you to enjoy on mobile, tablet and/or desktop devices. Being an 8×8 grid slot, the optimal device would be a laptop or PC so you can see all 64 symbols clearly. That said, it’s perfectly playable on an iOS or Android device.

Dragonfall Bonus Features

The Dragonfall slot has 6 bonus features. With cascading symbols, there are colossal Giant Egg symbols which transforms covered positions into the symbol shown. Look out for the Dragon’s Eye wild which moves to an adjacent position and has an increasing multiplier. This all culminates in the Free Falls feature where wilds are sticky.

Cascading Symbols feature

This game uses a Cascading Symbols feature. When you get a winning combination, the winning symbols cause a chain reaction. Those symbols are then removed from the grid and replaced with new ones which fall from the top of the screen. This gives you the chance to form another win. The cascades will continue until no more new wins are formed.

Mega Fall feature

Randomly activated on any fall/spin, the Mega Fall feature can be triggered. 1 or more colossal Giant Egg symbols can appear anywhere on the grid. Any positions covered will transform into the symbol shown. It can be any symbol bar the wild. Again, this increases your chances of winning big.

Dragon’s Eye Wild feature

The Dragon’s Eye symbol is the wild and will substitute for all other symbol to help form winning combination. If a wild contributes to a win, the wild moves to an empty position nearby before the next cascade takes place. Called the Dragon’s Eye Wild feature, this increases your chances of forming a new winning combination.

Multiplier feature

Every Dragon’s Eye will also comes with a multiplier which increases by 1 with every cascade/win. The multiplier can increase infinitely for huge wins. Once you have no more new wins, the wilds disappear from the grid (as with all other symbols) for a new spin to take place. This is known as the Multiplier feature.

Free Falls feature

The Dragon’s Eye wild also acts as a scatter symbol. When you get 3 or more Dragon’s Eye wild/scatters on the grid, you will enter the Free Falls feature. With 6 free falls/spins awarded, the wild symbol remains in play meaning sticky wilds.

Furthermore, the multiplier increases with each win/cascade. The wild also moves around randomly. Any new wilds landing also stay in the grid for the duration of the feature.

Bonus Bet feature

Finally, Dragonfall offers you a Bonus Bet feature. You can buy your way into the Free Falls feature for 100 x your stake. By the way, this feature won’t be available if you’re in the UK as bonus buys are banned by the UK Gambling Commission.

Dragonfall Review Summary – enter the dragon’s magical lair for huge rewards

Firstly, I must admit that it’s quite refreshing that this game doesn’t use the Megaways engine. Anyway, the Dragonfall slot is definitely beautiful to look at. You can see the Game of Thrones influence visually which is something I quite like personally. It does look a little like Red Tiger Gaming’s Dragon’s Fire slot.

With Dragonfall being Blueprint Gaming’s first grid slot, they’ve smashed it in fairness. There’s a good range of bonus features, it has a high RTP rate of 96.46% and max wins of 50,000 x stake per spin. The bigger wins will surely come in the free spins as the multiplier rises with each win, with no limits. The wilds can work their magic in the Free Falls feature as they remain on the grid throughout the feature for even bigger multipliers.

In terms of gameplay, it has quite a few similarities with Jammin’ Jars (Push Gaming). In fact, the gameplay is nearly identical. The main difference is the theme and Push Gaming’s flagship slot offers a higher 96.83% RTP rate. On the other hand, Dragonfall offers 2.5 x higher max win potential (50,000 vs 20,000 x stake).
