With the same symbols used, they have been given a spruce-up. You’ll see A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 royals with a Western style as well as pickaxes and spades, lanterns, the prospector and diamonds. With the original game being a cult favourite, the Diamond Mine 2 Megaways slot has a lot to live up to. Blueprint Gaming has kept true to its predecessor but has upgraded the visuals and soundtrack. Fans of the original slot though won’t be disappointed though.

Offering pretty much the same range of bonus features, the difference is the option of the Gold Spins feature. Depending on how many scatters you land, you can begin with a Golden Guarantee up to 15x. This means that free spins keep on coming until the win multiplier reaches the Golden Guarantee figure (i.e. 15x). The good news is that scatters during the Gold Spins will increase the Golden Guarantee meaning more and more free spins.

I do like the fact you are guaranteed a minimum win multiplier in the Gold Spins feature. On the other hand, the feature ends once you hit it. If you trigger the feature with a low number of scatters, I recommend opting for the regular Free Spins feature where the win multiplier can rise infinitely (if you get plenty of wins/cascades).

On a negative note, the RTP of 95% is lower than the 96.43% rate offered in the original Diamond Mine Megaways slot. The max win of 10,000 x bet is the same in both games so whatever free spins game you opt for, the win potential is identical.
