With a harrowing soundtrack, symbols on the reels include A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 royals. The better paying symbols include 4 characters who can transform into vampires. There’s the groundskeeper, maid, lord and lady. The lady character the best paying symbol with 3, 4, 5 or 6 awarding 1, 5, 10 or 50 x your total bet.

Holy Water feature

Castle of Terror Summary – increasing win multipliers key to fangtastic wins

The Castle of Terror slot isn’t the best designed game I’ve come across. The graphics are a little old-skool for my liking. In terms of the gameplay, I’m glad it’s not another Megaways game.

The Holy Water feature transforms the high value character symbols into wilds and increases the win multiplier. This applies on every free spin too. However, it’s all about the Megascatter Enhanced Free Spins feature as the win multiplier rises by 2 every time a character symbol becomes wild. The Win Exchange element is something we’ve seen a few times already though.

What I do like about Castle of Terror is the very high RTP rate of 96.72%. Furthermore, the max win of 61,720 x bet is significantly higher than that of other 4,096 ways to win Big Time Gaming slots (Lil’ Devil offers 36,403 x bet and Danger High Voltage 15,746 x bet).

In summary, Castle of Terror is a decent horror themed slot. Whilst the gameplay doesn’t offer anything innovative or unique, the max win potential and high return rate gives it plenty of bite.
