Monopoly Big Event is powered by Barcrest (part of Scientific Games) and has 5 reels and 20 paylines. Playable from 20p to £500 a spin, the game is based on one of Hasbro’s most iconic and world famous games (Monopoly). IGT has produced a few Monopoly-themed slots in recent years but Scientific Games now has the online license and this is its first title. Monopoly Big Event benefits from 3 exciting bonus features which are described below.
You have the Big Event feature which you can trigger by getting the Big Event symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5 – if you get 2 stacked symbols on reel 5, you will enter the Big Event game with House sneak preview. If you trigger it with 3 stacked symbols on reel 5, you are awarded the Big Event game with Hotel sneak preview.
The House sneak preview reveals the chance card positions of the 3 houses whilst the Hotel sneak preview reveals the chance card positions of the 3 hotels. You will then choose community chest and chance cards alternatively. The community chest chards will reveal the number of free spins and guaranteed wins which are cumulative. The chance cards reveal the bonus icons. If you get 3 of the same icon, you will activate the corresponding bonus with the number of free spins and guaranteed wins collected up until that point.
If you reveal the Locking Wilds free spins feature, any wild the lands on the reels will lock in place for the duration of the feature. If you land the ‘In Jail’ symbol anywhere on the reels, the lowest paying symbol on the reels will be removed from all future free spins in the feature.

Monopoly Big Event may sound a little complicated but in fact, it’s very straight forward. Barcrest has produced a good Monopoly slot in my opinion with the bigger wins coming in the Locking & Wild Big Event feature if you get a few wilds in the 5 spins. I’ve managed to get over 25 free spins in the Big Event feature too which resulted in just under 120 times my stake which was pretty good. I found the game to be a low to medium variance game which is pretty entertaining.
