Money Mad Martians Cosmic Cash Slot Review

Money Mad Martians Cosmic Cash is a Barcrest-powered video slot with 5 reels and 10 paylines. Playable from 10p to £500 a spin, this a popular game in pubs across the United Kingdom. The game has a galactic theme to it with crazy martians and there are 3 bonus features in total. It’s also available to play on your mobile or tablet device.

In terms of the bonus features, let’s start with the Shuffling Reels feature – this applies in the base game with the reels shuffling at random to give you a win at the end of a losing spin. This means that non-winning spins have the chance to turn into decent cash prizes.

Then there’s the Pick Me Bonus feature which is triggered by getting the bonus symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5 simultaneously. You are then prompted to pick one of the symbols – you will either reveal a multiplier value or ‘Bonus’ – the latter will take you to the Asteroid Bonus feature.

Here you are rewarded with 3 picks from the field of asteroids. Chosen asteroids will reveal a multiplier value or a martian. If you reveal a martian, the surrounding asteroids will also be revealed for bigger prizes. This feature will only end when all picks are finished or all asteroids have been revealed. There’s up to 500 times your stake on offer.

Finally you have the Planet Bonus feature which can also be played if you pick a certain asteroid in the Asteroid Bonus feature. You will see values presented on 3 planets – they spin and the one that stops will give you that cash prize. The good thing is that you can win up to 500 times your stake!

Like other Barcrest slots like Rainbow Riches, the bonus features can give you up to 500 times your stake (which is good). I’ve never quite won that much though with 200 times my stake coming in the Asteroid Bonus feature. I found Money Mad Martians Cosmic Cash to be a medium variance slot.

Most of the wins in the base game were between 5 and 10 times my stake on average but they came quite infrequently. I did find that the Asteroid Bonus feature was rewarding especially if you go on to play the Planet Bonus feature. I do really like this slot game and the theme is quirky although a little dated (which makes it more appealing personally).
