Black Knight is a 5 reel, 10 payline slot from Barcrest – sister company WMS already has a slot called Black Knight and it’s similar but has a few differences. Playable from 10p to £500 a spin on all devices, it comes with a Free Spins Bonus feature where up to 12 free spins can be won – any Black Knight wild appearing will expand and remain in place for the whole feature. You can also win jackpots of 500 times your stake and there’s a Big Bet feature where you get 5 spins with the Black Knight held.
Visually, Black Knight is almost identical to its WMS counterpart – with a medieval theme and a valiant knight to the side of the reels, symbols on the reels include sceptres, rings, maps, orbs, crowns, jesters, queens and kings. The latter is the most rewarding with 3, 4 or 5 on the reels giving you 10, 50 or 500 times your stake respectively. The Black Knight is the wild and replaces all symbols bar the Bonus symbol (more info below).
The other symbol to look out for is the Bonus symbol as 3 or more will trigger the Free Spins Bonus feature – 3 or 4 will give you 7 or 12 free spins respectively. Like with the WMS version, the Black Knight wild symbol appears and expands to take over the whole reel – it then remains locked in place for all future free spins. Black Knight from WMS is a very popular slot – the Barcrest version is slightly different but is less volatile offering you top payouts of 500 times your stake on every spin/free spin. Saying that, I much prefer the WMS version – actually, I prefer Black Knight II from WMS which is even more volatile.
