Explodiac is a classic fruit machine that offers an explosive sting in the tail. Created by Bally Wulff, this 5 reel, 10 payline slot comes with a special explosion feature which can turn multiple symbols into wilds. Play from between 10p and £20 per spin.
At first glance, Explodiac looks like a common or garden fruit machine – this one comes with a nice little twist though in the form of the Explosion feature. When the bomb symbol lands, it explodes and turns up to 9 symbols into wilds. A new payout is then made with the extra wilds in place.
That feature aside, Explodiac is very much a classic fruity – symbols on the reels are all old favourites. Look out for cherries, lemons, oranges and plums which award 0.5, 1 or 5 times your total stake if you land 3, 4 or 5 of them on one of the game’s 10 paylines. Next up are the grapes which will get you 1, 2.5 or 10 times your bet with the melons awarding 1x, 5x or 25x.
Best of the bunch is the lucky 7 which is the top payer. Land 3, 4 or 5 of these and you can look forward to a payout of 1, 5 or 100 times your stake. Symbols can land in stacked formation too. Combine that with an explosion of wilds and some impressive hauls are certainly possible.
If you’re looking for a slot with plenty of features, then Explodiac will probably leave you feeling a little underwhelmed – this is one for classic fruity fans. The variance here isn’t as high as some but we’d still say it was north of medium. The gameplay is pretty basic but the addition of the exploding wilds is a nice touch and turns what could have been an ordinary slot into a playable one.
It’s not the most revolutionary of titles but if you want a classic fruity reboot with a twist, then Explodiac offers just that. I’d rather play 40 Thieves or Queen of the North personally (both by Bally Wulff).
