Take a trip to New York with a group of glamorous felines in Catwalk, a strange, shopping and cat themed slot from Ash Gaming. The pooches in this 5 reel, 4 row, 100 payline slot offer stacked wilds which can fill entire reels and a pick me style Boutique Bonus feature. Try and grab a bargain from between 20p and £100 per spin.
Set against a bustling Big Apple backdrop, the reels in Catwalk have a 1950s feel – symbols include 4 different coloured dresses as well as rings, shoes, handbags and sunglasses. The top paying symbols are the quartet of fashionable felines who sport an assortment of hats, umbrellas and jewellery. The cartoon style graphics are all very well done but the whole thing is a little bizarre.
The other symbol to look out for is the wild – when 2 or more of these land on a reel, they will expand to fill the other 2 positions to create a fully wild reel.
The only feature to speak of is the Boutique Bonus feature which is triggered by landing the gift box bonus symbol. Three of them will also get you a payout of 3 to 30 times your total stake. Four offer between 24 and 60 with five giving a shot at between 500 and 2,000 times your stake.
The Boutique Bonus is a pick me round – you’ll be offered a choice of 8 gift boxes, each of which contains a cash bonus. The precise number of picks you will receive depends on the number of scatters that triggered the feature. The Boutique Bonus feature comes along at regular intervals which is just as well given that it’s the only feature on offer. If you want frantic free spin action, multipliers or anything else, then you’ll be disappointed.
That said, there are decent rewards on offer from the pick me round and triggering payouts can be generous. The 100 paylines keep the small wins coming along at decent intervals too. We’d have liked to have seen some more on the features front though.
We found this shopping expedition a little underwhelming. For all its good looks, Catwalk’s range of features was disappointing. If you’re a cat lover or looking for some virtual retail therapy, then by all means take a look. We think you’ll have your head turned by plenty more enticing offerings available elsewhere such as IGT’s Cats or Playtech’s White King.
