Based on the hit TV talent show, Britain’s Got Talent is a 5 reel, 20 payline video slot from Ash Gaming. It comes with 2 feature rounds that offer free spins, frozen wilds and prizes of up to 1,125x your total bet. Stakes start at 20p going up to an eye-watering £1,000 per spin which requires Simon Cowell levels of bankroll!
Graphically, Britain’s Got talent keeps things fairly simple. The reels include the standard playing card symbols – albeit sprinkled with a little stardust, as well as silhouettes of jugglers, dancers and singers. The singer is the biggest payer of the 3 offering 1,500x your bet for finding 5 in a payline.
The Union Jack flag is the wild and substitutes for all symbols apart from the scatter. It pays out a whopping 10,000x your line bet if you find a 5 symbol combination. The reels are set against a TV stage complete with spotlights and a Union Jack backdrop reminiscent of the show.
There are two main features on offer. First is the Live Show Bonus feature which is triggered when the Britain’s Got Talent logo appears on reels 1, 3 and 5. First choose whether you want a musical, novelty or dance act to represent you in the feature. Spin the wheel to reveal which act it will be. In the music act it could be Susan Boyle, Double Take or any one of 8 acts who appeared in the show.
You’ll see clips from the contest (which you can skip) featuring your act. If the judges say yes, you make it through to the next round, starting at the audition stage then the semi-final and final. Increasing multipliers are on offer in each level. The louder the applause the greater the prize. If your act make it to the final, multipliers of between 50 and 1,000x can be won.
Britain’s Got Talent also comes with a Free Games feature which is triggered when 3 or more Free Spins symbols appear anywhere on reels 2, 4 and 5. Once active, a trio of stars will fly onto the reels to deliver the number of spins, up to a maximum of 20. The Britain’s Got Talent logo will also appear, dropping a random selection of sticky wilds onto the reels which will remain in place for the duration of the free spins.
What you think of the Britain’s Got Talent slot will largely depend on your opinion of the TV show. If you like cheesy crooners and dancing dogs you’ll find plenty to enjoy here. If TV talent shows are you’re idea of hell then you may want to give Britain’s Got Talent a swerve.
That said, the Live Show Bonus and Free Games features are actually pretty good with some decent multipliers on offer. Just like those lazy Saturday nights you may find yourself getting sucked in! The theme doesn’t appeal to me though as I’d rather play slots like Innocence or Temptation, Full Moon Fortunes or Wild Gambler (all by Playtech/Ash Gaming).
