Big Ben Slot Review
Big Ben is a 5 reel, 25 payline game created by Aristocrat. Who doesn’t know the world famous clock Big Ben? If you don’t live in a cave you probably know it! The theme of this game is famous symbols representing London, England with the British flag, its unparalleled phone booths and the Queen’s guards with their famous helmets. The game features scatter symbols, wild multipliers, a free spins feature, and a Big Ben feature. It can be played from 25p a spin to as much as £50 a spin.
The Big Ben Clock is the scatter symbol. The Big Ben Tower scatter symbol can be placed anywhere on the reels to complete winning combinations, as long as at least two Big Ben Clock symbols are found on the reels. When you get the symbol both on reels 1 and 5 at the same, you will trigger the Big Ben feature. The number of chimes made by the Big Ben clock determines your reward – you can get up to 12 chimes with the maximum multiplier being 500 times your stake.
Then there’s the Free Game feature which is triggered when you land three or more Big Ben Clock Tower symbols anywhere on the five reels. The number of free spins depends on the number of scatter you got on the screen. 3, 4 or 5 Big Ben symbols will give you 15, 20, or 25 free spins respectively. Additional free spins can be won with 3+ scatter symbols though which helps. Finally, all wins are subject to a 2x multiplier.
I found Big Ben to be very similar to the original Queen of the Nile slot but the multiplier in the free spins feature is lower. It’s a low variance game and one that doesn’t quite excite me to be honest. I would suggest you try other Aristocrat titles such as Let’s Go Fish’n or Miss Kitty.
