Like most slots in the Ainsworth catalogue, you’re unlikely to be awed by the design in Magic Rewards which is functional at best. Joining the A to 9 royal values are doves, handkerchiefs and roses, a trunk to escape from and a rabbit in a hat. There’s also a wild which appears on reels 3, 4 and 5 in the base game.
The white gloves symbol is the scatter. Land 3, 4 or 5 of these on the same spin and you’ll win a payout of 1, 5 or 50 times your total stake. You’ll also trigger the game’s only bonus round, the Magical feature. Once triggered you can look forward to 8 free spins.
The set up here is slightly different to the base game. The wild can hit on reels 2, 4 and 5. Joining the action is the moustachioed magician – if the magician appears on reel 3, any gloves symbols will turn wild. The whole of the middle reel will also turn wild.

Magic Rewards is a typical Ainsworth slot. The visuals are pretty ordinary compared to the high spec imagery you’ll see from many other developers these days. The gameplay is better, especially if you manage to see the magician during the feature.
As usual, Ainsworth changes the paytable once you have triggered the round. You might think you’ve landed a biggie but there are lower rewards on offer in the bonus compared to the base game. Ainsworth certainly aren’t among our top developers and Magic Rewards hasn’t won us over. It’s a solid enough effort and the bonus has potential.
