This is a nice addition to the numerous other buffalo-themed slots, but there’s nothing that makes it stand out from the crowd in my opinion.

Pros

Cons

• Highly volatile

What is it about the buffalo that proves so popular with slot developers? The potential for a huge stampede of coins I suppose. This 4ThePlayer release offers just that possibility with its 7,500 x stake maximum win. It’s a high-risk, high-reward game though thanks to the extreme volatility.

The gameplay here is decent enough. The range of extras isn’t enormous but there’s enough going on with the stacked symbols, multipliers, free spins and wilds to keep things interesting. The standard payouts are very low. You really need to get the multipliers to work their magic (ideally, combining more than one of them in the same winning combination) to land anything half-decent.

I found the design here very much in keeping with a live casino slot. It’s nicely done without being right at the cutting edge.

I wouldn’t quite put this right at the front of the herd of buffalo-themed slots. If you can’t get enough of the American big beasts, though, 5 Wild Buffalo is certainly one to consider.
