The development team at 2 By 2 Gaming must have a surreal sense of humour. Not for them are traditional pirates, Egyptians or lucky leprechauns – instead we get zany French biologists (Greener Pasteur) and rabbits who like to jump out of planes!

Set against a skyline backdrop, complete with light aircraft, the reels include an assortment of strange bunny and aviation themed symbols. Joining the playing cards are an air sock, carrots, helmet and goggles and a propeller powered plane. The most lucrative symbol is the Jumpin’ Rabbit logo which awards 500 coins for a 5 symbol combination.

There’s also a standard wild that replaces everything bar the free spins symbols – it’s possible to land 3 wilds on the same reel which can create some decent opportunities.

Land the free spins symbol on the middle 3 reels and you’ll trigger the Free Spins feature and with it 10 free spins. These bonus spins are played out on a new set of reels. Your winning chances are boosted by the addition of a number of extra wilds which will be in play throughout the feature.

When you get beyond the somewhat strange theme, Jumpin’ Rabbit is in fact a pretty straightforward affair – the gameplay is simple, both in the base game the free spins round. The cartoon style visuals are rather well done. Look out for some nifty animations that accompany winning spins. The soundtrack isn’t bad either with the action punctuated by the roaring of the plane and squeals of delight from the freefalling rabbit.

This probably isn’t a slot for fans of complex feature rounds as the action here is pretty basic but still entertaining. The variance is on the low side. Expect steady streams of smaller wins rather than anything especially explosive.

If you’re looking for a slot that combines a madcap theme with simple, low variance playability, then you’ll want to take to the skies with this Jumpin’ Rabbit. If you like rabbits, Games Global’s Rabbit in the Hat is recommended.
